Jhong-Sing Hotel

This is one of the best budget hotels I've stayed at in a lot of travel in Taiwan, and I stayed there 3 or 4 times. Of course, it's a budget hotel, but rooms are clean, comfortable, and fairly well equipped. Staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, unlike most hotels of this type in Taiwan. If you dont mind the 30-40 minute commute on the train, this is much better value than equivalent hotels in Taipei. It would also be good for an airport layover.

Take note travelers, this hotel is far from Taipei but near MRT (Zhongli). It is at least 45-60 mins if you take MRT from Zhongli to Taipei, it depends on the type of train you are taking. There are three types of trains I believe, MANMAN (slow), Kway kway (fast), and another faster train. You have to check the schedules, I just take the whatever arrived first. Ok back to the hotel. The hotel has a lot of restaurants and convenience stores around, so no worries. There are also lots of stores where you can buy stuff or gifts, no need to buy at Taipei. The hotel room is clean, it is not that of a 5-star hotel but it is comfortable. The toilet is very clean as well. Free internet and a cable TV available The amenities are great, you get free water bottles every morning. Self-laundry for free, they even provide you free laundry powder. They also have a dryer so don't worry about your dirty clothes, you can reuse them. My favorite is their staffs. They are probably the most helpful and friendliest staff ever. They are so polite, no matter your race, I'ám half Indian, half Filipino but they treated me well. There is a reason why they have such a high rating. Their hotel is so cheap but they treat their customers way better than a 5-star hotel.

The 24 hour check in is very convenient, good price, clean facility, and very nice staff. Even thought I arrived late the front desk was very kind. Thank you so much I really appreciate it.
