There is no way to beat the value for money proposition in this hostel. However, some minor and inexpensive improvements will make this place an even better choice: put in more hooks & shelving space. This is especially important for ladies as there was no where to our their toiletries.

Nice place; greeted very quickly and friendly. Short distance from train station. Only issue I had was in getting the receptionist to understand in the morning that coffee can only sit so long before it needs a new pot to be brewed.

Wonderful hostel, with super friendly and super knowledgeable staff. Got a lot of tips about where to eat and how to move around. Super convenient location close to the train and bus station (literally 3 minutes walk), and a few good eateries. All the facilities we could have wanted were there, including a washing machine, dryer, fridge, and even card games and free coffee and tea and water. They also gave us our request for a quiet family room (for our family of 4) away from the stairs, with a beautiful view of the mountains too. The one and only drawback is the hostel doesn't have a lift, so bringing the big luggage bag up and down to and from the 4th floor during check-in and check-out was a bit cumbersome, but that's only twice over the whole stay. Overall, enjoyed staying there alot.

We stayed for one night in the triple room. Family with teen and young child so bunk bed was naturally a hit. Found an old contact lens in the bedding which got us questioning the cleanliness. We would also have preferred if guests have to leave their shoes at the main entrance and swop to indoor slippers when inside the hostel as that would have greatly helped maintain the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. Toilet and bath are dated and located in the same space with no partition/shower curtain - hence the whole floor gets wet when you shower - it would have been much improved by a shower screen/curtain. For those driving, roadside public parking is easily available on the street outside. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I needed a 1 night stop for my taroko gorge tour the next morning and the Mini Voyage Hostel was the perfect location. It's within walking distance of anything you need except the night market. Most importantly, it's near the TRA station.
I liked the wooden design & interior; however, I would do something about the scent the wood gives off. The wood used is not natural, it's treated, so there is a residual chemical smell. Otherwise, everything was in good condition.

Within walking distance from the train station. Night market is 15 min drive away (Can call cab at 100nt/way). One thing to note: there is only a narrow staircase for accessing upper floors.

Very friendly staffs, the room is clean and comfy, very close to train station.
It would be perfect if there’s place for hanging wet clothes/towel though drying machine is available. It’s more eco-friendly. And it’s better to make a reminder to every roommate not to talk loudly especially when it’s late at night or early in the morning when others are sleeping (common sense sometimes is not really common).

The staff at Mini-Voyage Hostel is wonderful, friendly and helpful pointing out the walking areas, night market, and other in the area. The only thing that would make this hostel better is an elevator, but I didn't mind walking to the 3rd floor.
There was live music in the lobby on my Monday night stay - two guys singing and playing the guitar from approximately 8 to 10. They were great and everyone enjoyed ourselves.

Very convenient, a short walk from the train station. Plenty of car/scooter rentals nearby. Beds were comfy and room was much more spacious than expected—there was even a desk in the room. I liked that it's a private bathroom shared between 3 beds in the same room, too, instead of stalls in the hallway. Everything felt clean and modern. Hosts were very warm, friendly, and helpful in helping you plan your trip or getting a taxi. It's a bit of a walk to the city center, but scooter/bike/taxi (100NT flat rate to anywhere in the city) makes it easy to get around.
