I had an amazing stay at this hotel during my trip to Bangkok, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The first thing that stood out was how clean and well-maintained the entire property was. The rooms were spotless, the bathrooms gleamed, and even the hallways and public areas were kept in immaculate condition throughout my stay. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job each day, and it really added to the overall comfort. The location of the hotel is also unbeatable right in the heart of Bangkok, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Despite being centrally located, the hotel itself offered a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a full day of sightseeing. With its combination of cleanliness, comfort, and a prime location, this hotel truly made my Bangkok trip smooth and memorable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Hotel room is very spacious and very clean. The staff is also very helpful and able to communicate in English. Location-wise also strategic enough and has a shuttle to Emporium, thus access to public transport (BTS). Worth it for the room and pricing.

This Ibis hotel is different from other Ibis I've spent staycation at Jakarta and Bali before. The significant difference was on the comfortable spacious room interior. Other benefits are more, like the hi-speed strong Wi-Fi connection up to the outdoor area that helped me a lot during my business trip - delicious breakfast menus with longer time limit until 10.30 AM - fantastic cruise ship night view at the restaurant outdoor area - nearby 7-Eleven and local restaurants - and above all: end-to-end great hospitality service. I will definitely come back with my family for a vacation. Really worth to happiness indeed. Thank you ❤️✨.

Outstanding for the hotel services as I extended my stay to another 7 days. All the staffs are well trained & polite. They extend help wherever they can. The rooms are clean, satisfactory. The cleaners are helpful when you need extra toiletry items. Wonderful to stay over and coming back on 20 to 21 March before leaving for airport on 22 March. The staffs like Mr. Apicha (Supervisor) & Miss Junharat are outstanding in their services.

More about hotels in Bangkok

Who doesn’t know Bangkok? Bangkok is a must-visit destination when you travel to South East Asia. Bangkok is the lively capital of Thailand. It is a city that mixes old traditions with modern life. It's best known for its busy street markets, beautiful temples, and exciting nightlife. One of its most famous spots is the Grand Palace, a historic home of Thai kings built in 1782. You'll also find Wat Pho, where the giant Reclining Buddha rests, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, which looks stunning at sunset.

Bangkok is also famous for its delicious street food, with dishes like spicy curries and fresh fruits that offer a burst of flavor. Despite the city's fast pace, you can find peaceful moments along the Chao Phraya River or in Lumphini Park. Shopping in Bangkok is a treat too, with malls and markets selling everything from designer clothes to unique local crafts. With its mix of old-world charm and modern energy, Bangkok is a place full of surprises and a great choice for curious travelers.

Famous Destinations in Bangkok

While visiting Bangkok, you won't get bored because there are a lot of places you can visit or should be on your itinerary! Here are the recommendations:

Here are five famous destinations in Bangkok:

1. Grand Palace

The Grand Palace is a must-see for any visitor to Bangkok. Built-in 1782, it served as the home of Thai kings for over 150 years. The palace complex is filled with beautiful architecture and cultural history. One of its highlights is Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), which houses a revered statue of Buddha carved from a single block of jade.

2. Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)

Wat Arun is one of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks, sitting on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Known for its tall, spire-like design, Wat Arun offers a breathtaking view during sunset when its towers glow in soft hues. Visitors can climb the steep steps of the temple for panoramic views of the city and river.

3. Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha)

Wat Pho is famous for its enormous Reclining Buddha statue, which measures 46 meters long and is covered in gold leaf. This temple is also known as a center for traditional Thai massage. It's a peaceful spot to admire the intricate details of Buddhist art and learn about the temple's role in Thai education and medicine.

4. Chatuchak Weekend Market

As one of the largest markets in the world, Chatuchak is a shopping paradise with over 15,000 stalls selling everything from clothes, antiques, and souvenirs to plants and pets. It's an excellent place to explore local culture and find unique items while tasting street food from all over Thailand.

5. Jim Thompson House

This museum was once the home of Jim Thompson, an American entrepreneur who helped revive the Thai silk industry. The traditional Thai-style house is now a museum showcasing his art collection, and it provides a glimpse into Thai culture and architecture. Surrounded by lush gardens, the Jim Thompson House is a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.

The Public Transportation in Bangkok

Bangkok offers various public transportation options, making it easy and affordable to explore the city. Here are the main modes of public transport:

1. BTS Skytrain

The BTS Skytrain is an elevated rapid transit system operating on the Sukhumvit and Silom lines. It’s a fast and efficient way to move around Bangkok, especially during peak hours. Trains run from about 5:30 AM until midnight, with fares ranging from RM2.10 to RM7.70 depending on the distance.

2. MRT (Metro)

Bangkok’s MRT is an underground metro system, featuring the Blue Line and Purple Line. It’s great for avoiding traffic jams and provides access to important areas like Chinatown and the city center. Trains run every 5-10 minutes from 6:00 AM to midnight. Fares range from RM1.70 to RM5.20 based on the distance.

3. Chao Phraya Express Boats

These boats offer a scenic route along the Chao Phraya River, stopping at key tourist attractions. They operate from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The tourist-friendly blue-flag boats allow hop-on-hop-off service, and fares are typically around RM2.50 to RM4.80.

4. Buses

Bangkok's bus network includes air-conditioned, non-air-conditioned, and express buses. Though they are slower and harder for tourists to navigate, they are extremely budget-friendly. Fares for non-air-conditioned buses range from RM0.90 to RM1, while air-conditioned buses range from RM1.40 to RM3.

5. Tuk-Tuks and Taxis

Tuk-tuks are a fun option for short trips, but prices vary, so negotiation is often required. For taxis, it's important to ensure the driver uses the meter. Taxi fares usually cost between RM5 and RM19, depending on the distance. Ridesharing apps like Grab are also available, offering a convenient and fixed-price alternative.

Best Areas to Stay in Bangkok

Bangkok offers a wide variety of neighborhoods, each with its own unique vibe, making it a city where anyone can find their ideal place to stay. Here are some of the best areas to consider:

1. Sukhumvit

Known for its nightlife, luxury shopping, and high-end hotels, Sukhumvit is one of the best areas for first-time visitors and those who enjoy a modern, cosmopolitan atmosphere. It’s well-connected by the BTS Skytrain, making it convenient for exploring the city. Sukhumvit is also famous for its restaurants and bars.

2. Siam

Siam is a shopper’s paradise, home to some of the largest malls like Siam Paragon, MBK, and CentralWorld. It’s a central location perfect for visitors looking to combine shopping with sightseeing. The area also offers family-friendly attractions like SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World.

3. Riverside

The Chao Phraya River area offers beautiful views and a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the hustle and bustle of central Bangkok. It’s a great area for luxury travelers, with high-end hotels offering stunning river views. While it’s not as well-serviced by public transportation, many hotels provide shuttle boats to key areas.

4. Khao San Road

Popular among backpackers, Khao San Road is known for its budget-friendly accommodations and lively nightlife. It's a great area for those looking to experience the street life of Bangkok. Despite its party reputation, there are quieter, more authentic stays just a few streets away.

5. Silom

Silom is a business district by day but transforms into a nightlife hub after dark. It offers a great mix of street food and markets and is near the serene Lumphini Park. Silom is also well-connected by both the BTS Skytrain and MRT.
