We started with just a 1 day reservation to check out the area and facilities it was important we had good wifi and air conditioning after our first night we decided to stay here for the rest of our time and booked with the front desk the place has the best beach and the only one where there is a completely roped of area to swim in the ocean the beach chairs and umbrellas were many and the breakfast was amazing. Excellent value for the money

The hotel is on a lovely beach, a short walk to restaurants and bars in a quiet location, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent for me as I like an English breakfast followed with a bowl of yoghurt fresh fruit, nuts/ seeds after a fresh cup of coffee from the coffee machine. The hotel restaurant in on the beach front a plus. The rooms are a few years old, but are nice with a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the green walkways which connects the hotel complex. Would I stay here again, yes it gets my approval. The only problem was the shower water pressure was a bit erratic. I had a fantastic holiday with my son here who also loved it.

Very nice hotel. Villas and grounds could use a little updating. The hotel is convenient to town, and there are tons of bars, restaurants, massage parlors, and shopping options all within short, easy walking distance. Hotel is right on the beach, and the pool overlooks the beach as well.

Its pretty central to the nightlife, which makes it fairly noisy, though convenient. I never had any hot water at the shower throughout my stay, fortunately it is pretty warm weather-wise, so it wasnt too unpleasant to have a cool/cold shower and then warm up in the ambient heat.

Negatives: should be no shirt, no shoes, no service in restaurant; no dogs in restaurant; 1 out of 2 coffee machines worked; after 30 mins belongings should be removed from pool loungers as people reserve then leave; as smoking of all types is permitted there should be a designated smoking area.

What a great stay at The Hive. This is a wonderful boutique style hotel near the water with easy access to town. Rooms are bungalow style with AC. Super clean with great staff all around. Lots of chairs around to pool so no need to get up at 6 to throw a towel on a chair. Breakfast is great and lots of coffee options. Ive already recommended to friends and family who are now booked for March.

The photos looked a lot better than the current conditions of the property. There were LOTS of mosquitoes. This could perhaps be an acceptable three-star property but we didn’t play attention to the star rating when booking it (our fault). The staff was genuinely kind and professional. We left after one night. We didn’t get a partial refund, but thank goodness we moved. I can’t imagine staying five more nights. Again, it could be an acceptable three-star hotel, but it wasn’t for us.

Great breakfast! Excellent service, the lady at the reception area scheduled transportation from the Hotel to our next place (another island/hotel). Our room/cabin was very quiet and super close to the pool and beach. They cleaned the room daily and always left water bottles for us. They had plenty of chaise longues and towels in the pool/beach area. Definitely will be back.

This is our second time in the last three years to stay at Lamai Wanta. We loved the pool, excellent access to the beach and the wonderful buffet brunch. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The front desk staff are very accommodating and efficient. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Besides being right on the beach, the resort is just one block off of the Lamai Beach Road for easy access to shopping, restaurants and convenience stores. Our time there was very relaxing. The downside is the European tourist habit of smoking. There are a lot of them and they are not very considerate and of course the Thai people are very polite and accommodating. I did not enjoy my patio much because of the neighbours smoking. It's great that there is a lot to do in Lamai. We would definitely go back and we recommend this resort. Great value for the price.
