Hotel Arcadia Blue Istanbul

Mr Emir at the reception was exemplary, but it ends there! The housekeeping were hit and miss, but mostly miss. Breakfast staff on top floor were not polite and showed bad attitude. The property only and only makes up the positive reviews for it’s location and views, but the hotel itself is very old and dated and needs a massive and thorough renovation. Air condition works but so-so and breakfast just does the job (ONLY JUST). I think a 2/5 star rating overall is adequate, however, I was seriously considering giving them a 1 star review, but that would have been too harsh. They said the hotel was fully booked but I really think it wasn’t and I only ever heard other stayers at the hotel commending the views and nothing else. Apparently there has been a change of ownership in the last few years and the last known renovation was in 2013, so these new owners have neglected the property BIG TIME! I wouldn’t advise against staying here, as I’ve stayed at worse properties, but I would warn to be EXTREMELY cautious and if you need more water in addition to the two bottles that they are supposed to put in the room each day, but don’t always, I would suggest buying from the local shop. It’s rated a 4 star hotel, but more 3 star in my honest opinion. I’ve stayed at the nearby Sura Design Boutique property and also the Doubletree by Hilton Sirkeci hotel and they are both rated 4 star, but they are miles and skies above the standards of Hotel Arcadia Blue. It was always too dark here.

I can only say two good things . There is no better location and the staff are helpful if “asked” The hotel is not maintained and the rooms are only surface cleaned. We were in their most expensive room 1.the safe didn’t work even after asking them to fix it, 2.The containers body wash was empty when we arrived and remained so. 3.The dust under the bed was thick. 4.The quilt was too small for the bed and was a metre too short. 5. The shower was full of mould and the greasy run marks at the side of the basin was disgusting. 6. The restaurant had chairs and boxes piled other corners 7. Reception windows had not been cleaned for months and the dead dried flowers were full of dust. These are all first world problems but when you play a very expensive price to stay on holidays we expect the basics to be met This is my tenth trip to Istanbul and the hotel standard here has really dropped dramatically. Don’t take their transfers/ we were dropped in the arrivals car park and not departures / and had to pay cash in Euros - the drivers didn’t care. I will use Uber if their is another time.

The front desk staff is awesome Breakfast is the same every day, 6/10 The room is okay, towels are very old and bathroom smells of rust pipes. Location is very good and walking distance to everything My honest opinion

Nice building and location. Despite being so close to key tourist areas, there was very little outside noise, which allowed for rather peaceful sleeping! The property however needs some upkeep to be ranked higher, especially at its price point. Door to the room kept sticking and difficult to open. Excellent view from the rooftop dining area!

Best location and very good view!

Our stay at the hotel was truly regrettable. The room assigned to us felt like a shoebox—it was incredibly small and uncomfortable—and the cleanliness was absolutely terrible. You really shouldn't be promoting this hotel on your website. For our part, we certainly won't be recommending it to anyone. It was a very bad experience..

I am not sure how this hotel is considered 4 stars. From the moment you walk in, the lobby reeks of cigarettes. The staff smokes right next to the door and they do nothing to mitigate the smell. The minute we walked into our room, we noticed stains and black gunk all over the floor. The bathroom ceiling is falling apart. The walls in the bathroom were not clean. Our bed covers had a yellow stain on them. To say it was disgusting is an understatement. This is the filthiest, nastiest, most abhorrent place I have ever been to. When the people I was traveling with went to complain, the staff literally laughed at them as they were walking away. It is clear that the reception and cleaning staff lack the training and etiquette that comes with a 4 star hotel. Save your money. Go elsewhere. Better yet, don’t go to Istanbul at all.

Prime location with great views. Couldn’t be better. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Glad we chose this hotel to experience Istanbul. Breakfast a bit limited.

The location is excellent and the view of the Blue Mosque from our room and the restaurant was stunning Great reception staff If I was picky the breakfast could be a little better but the servers were brilliant. Id stay again

The view from the room on the 8th floor was wonderful. Could see both the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Great location, easy walking distance to all the main sites, including two aforementioned mosques. The included breakfast was delicious and lots of variety. The front desk was very helpful with shopping tips and arranging airport transfer service. Overall would recommend.

Excellent staff and location. Very comfortable rooms with satellite TV. Staff members speak English and breakfast up on the 9th floor gives you a panoramic view of the entire area. Everything is very close in walking distance. 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

Upgrade gave us excellent views from room. Breakfast very good choice served quickly to the table. Cleanliness very good.

Location Fantastic you can walk around to all attractions everything is near by.The Staff excellent. Our first time in Istanbul was truly unforgettable, and a big part of that experience was thanks to Batu in customer service. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and at home. Batu took the time to explain how to get around the city and helped us discover the main places to visit with kindness and patience. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care made all the difference during our stay. Because of him, we will definitely come back to this hotel. Breakfast poor varieties, but view is amazing

The property is very well located. I got an upgrade room with best view to the Blue Mosque. Breakfast is limited but it was fine for me. The front desk guy was very polite and helpful. I would stay again!

Rooms are clean, but the condition of the amnesties, washroom and other furniture is outdated. Location is good and close to all main sites of the Old City

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Arcadia Blue and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul. A special thank you to Emir, who was incredibly helpful in guiding us with transportation around the city—his advice made getting around Istanbul so much easier. Furkan was also fantastic, assisting us with our baggage promptly and with a smile. Barthan kindly helped us with our room and made sure everything was comfortable throughout our stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh options each morning. It was the perfect way to start the day. Overall, all the staff members were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their hospitality truly made our experience memorable.
