Beautiful Property and right next to the Westin where they have excellent snorkeling, with tons of tropical fish and coral. It was a lot better than black rock.

It was beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous. We really enjoyed staying at the AEI in Maui. The Safeway was a short drive up the road so we could have snacks and necessities in hand in the condo.
Overall who could say anything but great things about Maui, and so do we. This lodging made out vacation even nicer. Highly recommend.

Our room was very outdated and did not look anything like the room that was pictured upon booking. Yes, there was a disclosure about the property being sold "as is" but either way the room we stayed was not near close to what we were expecting. It seemed like we treated differently too when they realized we had booked through a 3rd party.

There was a clear lack of staffing during our stay. The front desk was usually staffed by just one person who had to manage everything, which led to long wait times anytime we needed assistance. Housekeeping was also disappointing—our room wasn’t cleaned at all during the entire week, and the trash was only taken out once.

Great location on the beach and close to shopping, dining and snorkeling. Our room was beautifully equipped with all the necessities of home. We made use of the outdoor grills to bbq dinner at night. The complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning was lovely. I made use of the fitness center each morning as well (open 24 hrs) and the equipment was clean and well cared for. The pool area was great, lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas and never over crowded. Pool towels were easy to exchange at the front desk. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if we are back in Maui!

The property is located near the highway. It is quite noisy. On top of that they do some work, so you are going to hear jackhammer as well.
They will have a sign that they are going work only this particular week Mon-Wed 10am-2pm, but they keep working until 4pm and also Thursday and Friday and then next week they update the signs for the new week.
They do NOT have A/C. They have ventilation slats, as many properties on Hawaii, but they were painted over and we couldn't open them. It was quite hot inside.
It got colder towards the morning, we had to ask for a blanket 3 times, we got the blanket for our third night there.
We had a blast, but the property wasn't the highlight of our vacation.

Overall a really wonderful experience. Staff was incredible. Hotel is in greay location. Overall clean. A bit dated relative to newer hotels, but the value is excellent.
Would stay there again. Oh, had two kids - 19 and 15 with and everyone was haply with accommodations
