What Guests Say About Their Stay

The positive for us were the following: We really enjoyed our time in the hot springs, we soaked in its waters every afternoon. Liked the fact that only adults (18+) could use it. We liked the quietness of the area and its trails. We liked that we could fill our hydroflask with water at the lobby-check in area to the springs and the water tasted great. We would stay here again 2 days max, not a whole week like we did. For us the negatives are the following: We have never stayed at a resort that did not have a mini fridge in the room. A mini fridge is important especially if there aren't any markets around. Eating at the ONE and ONLY restaurant in the property can be expensive. Also the restaurant did not have a lot waiters/waitresses, so being seated and served could be a while depending on the time. Juan, one of the servers, was super helpful, attentive, and shared pointers on some of the nearby trails. If you want the room to be serviced, you have to let the front desk know otherwise it will not be serviced even if you put the rag on the door. The pool we only used it once. I didn't like that the sides of the pool looked (were) dirty.

We stayed for one night. Room was dirty, old rooms, very small shower area, trails are not maintained. Overall service was good but food was expensive. They have lot of activities, which was really good as there is not much to do around the area. We felt it was not worth staying that far from Fairbanks. If you have more days and want to enjoy hot springs it might be OK.

The water is very bad - smells and tastes like an iron pipe. We had 4 family members in our room and every day they brought 2 towels. Had to keep asking for 2 more!! The location is beautiful but the Resort itself needs work...

Stayed here 25 years ago and the place has not been updated. The hot spa was not open to our 14 year old son, and they make you sign the release to indemnify them for any injury and damages even by their negligence or you don’t get in. The ice machine was locked and need to borrow the key. Over all the place needs a serious update and not worth the money if you do t get to see the northern light.

Haven’t visited for 20 years, but still a charming delight. Our restaurant on at Moose Lodge, spacious and quiet for three. Soaking in hot springs always a gentle, relaxing pleasure. Dinner, far too much food, especially the huge salad with dinner. Interesting use of geothermal energy to provide power for several buildings on the premises. Fun to see resident goats. Shall return.

It's a very unique property. The building we slept in had a loose lock and needed updated, but the hot spring was fantastic. Not sure why my 15 1/2 year old daughter wasn't allowed in the hot springs with us though. Before we left we considered booking another night, but we had plans to meet-up with friends in Anchorage, so we didn't.
