Close to riverview restaurants/shops. Close to City Market (walkable, easily)

Loved the location. Cleaing service thumbs down, nonexistent! Very disappointed. Hotel sent company to repair air conditioner with no warning. We walked into our room door wide open 3 people in it. Tarp over the sitting chair. Worker left greasy hand prints all over air conditioner. Check in - asked for early checkin. Nothing was available. Took my number and never called. Finally able to check in 4 hours after arrival! Asked cleaning staff to clean never did. I had to ask for towels, toilet paper and Kleenex. Soda machine ate our money. Front desk said to walk across street and hilton gardens would give us a free soda. Why should we have to walk and get it! No happy about this stay. Probably will not stay at any Hilton hotels ever again. Service sucked! Although bartender at hotel bar was friendly and valet was friendly.

While this Double Tree was better than others we have stayed in the last few years but the rooms are not insulated properly and one can hear passing heavy traffic of trucks and cars plying on the road all night. We had trouble sleeping all night and then were forced to wake up and leave the room early in the morning because of all the traffic noise during the morning rush hour. And then the ac unit in the room was particularly noisy every time it turned on to cool the room. I think the ac units in the rooms are long overdue for routine maintenance. And finally, maybe my I should have looked before I booked, only valet parking is offered at a steep price of $45 per night. I realized later that I could have parked at the public parking facility for a fraction of the cost! On the bright side, the staff were friendly, the hotel lobby and room was clean, and bathrooms upgraded.

Close to area with all the restaurants and bar. Felt safe in area.

If you have a room on the roadside of the building it will be very loud traffic all night long.

Fantastic location, minutes from riverside and easily walkable everywhere. Bedroom very roomy and bright. Had a room tot he back so was very quiet. Staff are excellent - super friendly.

Awesome location and amazing service! I had a great stay and the location couldn't be better — it's super close to River Street, City Market, W. Broughton street with tons of restaurants , shopping and things to do. Plus, there's a trolley tour stop right next to the hotel. Staff here is fantastic. I had a problem with my first room (203 — avoid it if you can, it's really loud because of several HVAC units right outside the window ). The front desk contacted me the day after I checked in and I was able to let them know about the problem. They moved me to a new room right away without any hassle. Hotel is a bit dated but its kept clean and tidy. If you want to stay somewhere close to everything with awesome service, I definitely recommend.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility itself is showing its age but the rooms were clean and well maintained. The location is good if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of the historic district. Be aware the noise from the cars and crowds at night is very loud into the early morning hours. We had to move rooms because of how loud the street noise was.

Convenient location, however I was given a street facing room. Extremely loud. Breakfast buffet, coffee stations empty canister both days. Selection modest but not worth $17 pp.

Older hotel. Tub/shower handle in need of repair. We were there for two nights and requested that the room NOT be cleaned. Came back from dinner to find the room had been cleaned . Remember to add cost of valley parking to the nightly room rate!

Great stay and centrally located to many of the landmarks in historic Savannah. Our room was on the second floor, fronting a busy intersection, so it was very loud at night. We were awakened by gunshots on our last evening at the hotel. At least 20 police cars raced to the scene right next to the hotel. People were running away from the scene, and police came out with guns/rifles drawn. It took hours for the scene to be cleared--very scary. Thankfully, no one got hurt. The next day, it was business as usual. I've always wanted to stay at a hotel in the thick of the action, but that was a little too much action.

Was able to check in early and close to everything. Noisy at night, but that's probably city life.

One elevator was not working and long delays for the ride. Breakfast table cloth was dirty and asked to get changed. Under the beds there is great amount of dirt and filth. Very disappointing.

My wife and I had to walk through a construction project to access our room. There was a foul smell in our room and when we requested another we’re told there were no other rooms available. The pillows on our bed were terrible. There were actually highway cones in the hallway to our room.

I was in for my birthday. The front desk was nice enough to send a gift to my room. I thought the text messages about my stay were a nice touch.

We really hated not having any parking options other than to valet. We were in and out quite a bit and we tipped the valet each and every time very well because they did a great job. But there were no other options. I know you can’t do anything about this, but we had a room facing the side street off of the street and could still hear traffic, music, screaming, all night.

Feels like a safe area, but very noisy on the second floor. Some water damage in my room otherwise very clean and nice.
