DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Tucson - Williams Center

On entering the room the temp. read 84 degrees. I selected 80 on the thermostat with the fan on auto. The room temp continued to read 84. Called the desk with our complaint. Desk person said she would have maintenance look into it.After approx an hour no maint and no relief. Called the desk again and requested another room as this was unbearable. Desk arranged a meet with housekeeping mgr. at another room. Second room was definately cooler and mgr assured all worked well in the room. With my first use of the bathroom sink the water would not drain. Another call to the desk. When we returned after a few hours at a party ( the purpose of the trip) the desk person informed that the drain had been cleared and all the drains were working well. The room temp was now chili. Temp control was very poor, we were unable to maintain a reasonable temp without feeling cold. We checked out a day early the next morning as there were too many negatives to justify a continued stay.

We were somewhat disappointed with this place. It is old and I don't think there have been any updates since it was built. The grounds were pretty clean and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our particular room had a very bad smell. Like it was sprayed with something to cover up cigarette smoke or dog urine. The free breakfast wasn't bad and the gentleman who runs it was very nice and accommodating.

The location was convenient and there was plenty of parking. The building/room is outdated & needing repairs and/or an upgrade. It was adequate for our overnight stay.

Bathroom needs an upgrade. Shower curtain was torn snd bath tub clogged. Besides that beds are very confortable.

Old dirty hotel.

We came into the room at about midnight There was blood stains on both the sheets and the comforter. Also in the livingroom there is a large painting artwork with a big blood booger dried on it. This hotel is old and dirty. Will never recommend

I like the old charm and friendly people. Plus, central location.

Super friendly staff

I liked the hotel. It is older but cute. My husband was not happy about the broken toilet seat and the non existing soap. But the pool area is clean. The breakfast was good. Staff is very friendly. Starbucks is next door! ☺️

Stained carpet, torn curtains, overflowing garbages, sports team ate everything, noisy kids, area nasty, homeless and drug people in vicinity, unable to inspect room prior to accepting reservation per request although upgraded slightly.

Better than last time

Very average hotel. Pool was ok. Beds not very comfortable. Bathrooms outdated (leaky faucet). Property has good bones just needs some TLC.
