Holiday Inn Express FT. LAUDERDALE CRUISE-AIRPORT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

I would not recommend the Holiday Inn on 17th St. Causeway. We stayed there because it was so close to the port, however, there isn't really a way to walk to the port due to construction and the hotel was super old, the floors were sticky and there wasn't not much to do around the area. They did offer complimentary airport shuttle and breakfast. The breakfast was what you would expect for a free meal. They also partner with a shuttle service at $15/person to the cruise port. We took Lyfts and it was around $9. The staff were very friendly and accomodating (we arrived around 9:30am after our cruise. They put our luggage in a locked room, gave us a keycard to access the 4th floor to get breakfast and go swimming if we wanted, and our room was ready a couple of hours early).

I would not recommend this hotel. Trying to get a shuttle to the hotel was a miserable experience. First they would not answer the phone. Then when they did they put it on hold for a very long time. After waiting 45 minutes they then said that it could be an hour and a half because it had rained. Not acceptable. We finally arranged for our own ride to the hotel. No excuse for why the shuttle never came, no apologies. Extremely disappointed with staff and customer service.

It was fine for my overnight stay

The staff were very polite and accomodating, however, the driver for the airport shuttle was very scary to ride with. He barely stopped at stops signs and was moving quickly through traffic going lane to lane. The building itself is out of date and had trim falling off of the walls. Breakfast was warm but mediocre in taste. The fllors throughout the hotel buidling and the room were very sticky.

parking is a little unsafe but has plenty of it. breakfast was quick and good. everyting clean, friendly staff. good place for a quick stay, nothing luxury about it, just a quick cheap stay. i can definitively come back.

Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly

The outside of the property smells like sewage. The AC unit in the room was extremely loud. You can tell it’s an older building and is in desperate need of updating.

Close to the airport

Big gap under the door letting a lot of noise in, took two days for them to fix the scalding hot shower water. The room was clean the breakfast was good

The check in host was very good. Check out was a piece of cake. TV stations limited. Breakfast was good. Very close to cruise terminal. Walking distance to a few decent dining option: highly recommend Tokyo Sushi across the street.

Receptionist was rude. Room wasn’t ready on time. Waited an hour to get my room.

The staff were excellent. Our room was very outdated and needs an upgrade. The room was clean.

Room at some point had water damage. Ceiling peeling and falling. Room smelled moldy and dirty. Bathroom had black mold in the shower. Floor felt sticky. Room was hot. Could not make temp any lower.

Great stay. Clean and friendly

Overall ok stay for what we paid. Stayed 2 nights prior to cruise. Clean but room smelled musty. Adjoining rooms you can hear everything coming from room next door, screaming kids was slightly annoying. Staff were nice, not exceptional like we can’t wait to go back or anything but acceptable. Restaurants within walking was nice. Breakfast was congested but ok for included. Wouldn’t pay what they’re asking for high season.

Property stunk really bad. Mildew.

Good complimentary shuttle from the airport. Room was a little tired, carpet was very dirty - making feet disgusting. Bathroom was excellent and modern. Breakfast was ok, the floor was slides and could do with a deep clean. Overall excellent for a night before a cruise as just round the corner. $15 in an uber XL, the shuttle the hotel offers is $15 and only at set times 3x daily.
