I have been coming to The Hollywood Star Inn about 3 to 4 times a year for the past 10 years. It was a bit rough in those early days, but I have to say, it has become a hidden gem. It's been remodeled, nothing fancy mind you, but a comfortable mattress, AC that works, and spotlessly clean, the bathroom impeccable, free parking and good security. It you are looking for a place to stay and don't want to spend a fortune, this is a great option!

Very clean building and pretty big rooms. T.V. With cable and the apps. Very close to public transportation including the Metro train and public buses. Easy to locate different places to eat. Room was very nice, large, quiet, and clean clean clean. Area was a little sketchy but not "dangerous" by any mean. I meant you get to see homeless people around the area (where don't you see this around the big cities in the U.S.) , but no one interrupts your walk or any of your business.
Check-in was smooth and so was the check out.
Yes, I would stay again in here.
