This hotel is in a very old building. The place has a ton of character and is lots of fun. Our room was very small (almost all bed) and the bathroom was a community bathroom down the hall.

First, I have a severe gluten allergy. We went to two different McMenamins this weekend, and there’s another one in my hometown. Each restaurant has at least a two page menu and each of them have exactly one gluten-free marked option on them. They have gluten-free burger buns, so I ordered a burger with no bun at all. Still got Glutened and sick on Friday night, before we ever made it to our destination where we were staying for the weekend. Still sick as we head home on Sunday. Second, We went with another couple and would have liked to have adjoining rooms with a shared bathroom. They got the last one so we got a separate room, communal bathroom. Turns out the 2 rooms with connected bathroom is what they had! They said there was nothing to indicate that on the reservation. The staff were really nice and comped them a night, and took $100 off of what we paid. But it could’ve gone so much more smoothly if it were clear at the outset that not only did they have two beds but they also had two rooms with the bathroom connecting them. We are doing the passport thing together, but it looks like I’ll have to pack my own food for the future visits. There are 28 locations. I think a company this big could do a better job of accommodating food allergies. It’s not like a food truck with limited options. Maybe their old kitchens are limited, but I’m still not looking forward to the future visits.

Loved being in McMinnville, and usually love McMenamins. This property is one of the older ones, and doesn't seem to have been maintained carefully. Lots of scuffs on the walls and doors. Still enjoyed our stay, just wish they'd spruce this wonderful property up a bit to bring it back to its glory!

The room heater was incredibly loud and prevented me from getting much sleep at all. Also, because of the shared bathroom, there was no water to drink in the room and no bottles of water available anywhere on the property. Would never stay here again!

The images on Expedia are wrong. I booked two queen beds with a shared bathroom. The pictures show that they are adjoined with the bathroom in the middle so the four of us can all stay close together. When we arrived that was not the case we were on totally different floors and shared a bathroom with everybody on the floor. Spoke to the staff about it and they said they are aware of this and multiple people complain about the inaccuracy of it but there was nothing they could do because that room was booked
