Great location and breakfast. Very quiet. Staff were nice and friendly but they need more staff. Long wait for check in at midnight. No space to pull in for valet because no one there but we found easy street parking. Check out was good but poor one person staff trying to do it while handling what sounded like a tough call.

We stayed at the Paliwood for a visit to UCLA. Charming hotel in historic property. Lobby and hall had an unusual odor. I couldn’t tell if it was to cover up prior dampness, or if it was simply the choice of fragrance. Overall, property was clean and beds were comfortable.
Guests with mobility concerns may not the fact that the property does not have an elevator; even the first floor rooms have a few stairs to the hallway where the guest rooms are.
Very convenient and walkable to UCLA campus and restaurants Broxton Square commercial pedestrian area. Property offers light breakfast (yogurt, pastries, fruit), 24 hr coffee in the lobby, and there is a Denny’s next door. Not unusual to see homeless people in the vicinity, but the neighborhood feels safe.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. I love small and cozy hotels and this one was absolutely gorgeous.
The only flaws was not having any ventilation in the bathroom, making it very damp after taking a shower.
Also the breakfast could be better.

We arrived at 2 pm and our room was not ready until 5pm. We have not been provided with any discounted options to accommodate for the time we lost. The hotel is very old and so beautiful, however at night you are able to hear all the neighbors and almost impossible to sleep

to begin with, this property does not have an elevator so you have to go up through stairs with your luggage. There is no designated parking for the property so you either have to find your own or use the valet. The sink and shower in our restroom were clogged so my husband and I were unable to shower. Not to mention, the shower is extremely tiny. We let the front office know, and they were not helpful. I had to reach out to Expedia to try to come to an agreement. I expected more for the price I was paying. I definitely will not be booking this hotel again.

I was new to Westwood. It was a charming vibe and the hotel lobby was a pleasant place to drink coffee and work.
Ni e interior details.
I did wish for an attached bar or cafe to use while staying.
It was the one item that could have made it a better experience. Staff was helpful and friendly.

I do not usually leave a comment because most of the hotels are pretty standard. But my whole family is pretty happy with this hotel. Just a nice boutique hotel with awesome living space and a simple and decent breakfast. We would look for this group again when we travel.

The room was dirty with no change of linens when I arrived at 4:00.
I requested housekeeping services for my stay.
Second night the room was not cleaned nor linens changed.
Unfriendly staff. No one apologized.
I wrote to regional manager.

For "VIP" we got the best view to the garbage and recycling bins. Parking situation is not great, with valet parking several blocks away, and very limited street parking.
