Staff was kind and welcoming. New ice maker, that was great. Everything was clean, water hot, ac/heat worked.

The room i stayed in was under construction and they were no teven supposed tobrent the room out. There was a screw sticking out of the carport that my friend stepped on and it stuck in to there foot. All around a miserable stay at this property.

This is our third time staying here and while we enjoyed our stay here before, this time was not as good. We arrived late (8:30) and since there was no one at the front desk, we had to pick up our room cards in an interesting way. (Side note: they were kind enough to call and let us know how to check in late.) Then when we got into our room, we found that the fridge and microwave weren’t working. All but one of the available outlets were dead and we had to move the microwave over next to the couch where they had a power strip plugged in to the wall for the tv unit. I had to test all the outlets hoping that one would work for the fridge. I finally found one, but the dial didn’t indicate which way was cold, so we had to test it several times to figure out which was the coldest setting. The room seemed a bit banged up. Holes in the bathroom door, a slash in the couch, mold in the window, etc. It had an adjoining door to the office next door, so maybe it used to be the manager/employee room? The other rooms we have stayed in were really nice, so this was kind of a surprise. It’s a decent place, located very close to downtown and has good prices. But, I honestly don’t know if we’ll come back. Maybe we just request to not stay in that particular room? Overall, decent place, just not the best experience this time.

Fairly clean! Only complaint I would have is in my room, the fridge wasn’t cleaned out. Other than that the roomed are fairly clean. Easy parking, street parking is also available if the lot is fool. It’s also close to a lot of good food places.

We always stay at the Royal Victorian. It's as good of a room as what you get at the Red Lion for half as much. Recommended

They need to keep the pet friendly rooms separate.

I couldn't have asked for a more convenient, easy and relaxing location after a 10 hr drive. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Even called me to assist me with after hour check-in. I will definitely stay again and recommend this accommodation .

The motel was conveniently located, but in disrepair probably because of off tourist season and weather.

Always kind caring owner and very affordable. Rooms are amazing whether 1 bed or 2. Very safe and patking too .location is bus route if need bus transportation close walking too town as well thank u for comfortable safe stay recommend too stay here

I liked the location in relation to the ferry, and city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. Lots of pillows, no extra blanket. The room amenities were not as advertised (no tea just one coffee).

We stayed one night and took the ferry to Victoria the next day. This hotel was So conveniently located to local restaurants and the ferry terminal itself. The staff were Amazing and very accomodating! Would recommend and stay here again.

Bedding reeked of bleach. Ceiling over toilet had basketball sized damage with large flaps of paint hanging down. Whole unit had odor of men’s room urinal cakes. In the morning, someone knocked briefly on my unit door, then unlocked the deadbolt and opened the door while I was sitting on the toilet. Privacy totally violated. Check-in clerk refused to accept cash as payment until I insisted repeatedly. all in all, a poor experience. I absolutely would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Way exceeded expectations for $57! It was exactly what we needed, a safe, quiet, clean place to stay for the night. Compared to other motels in that price range, it was very good.
