this is an older property in a coastal town. the room was small but clean. the Owners were super nice and seem like the kind of people who would do anything to make your stay better

I used this as my base to go visit Olympic National Park. The access was very convenient. The motel reminded me of old-style motels I stayed in when I was young. The owners are very nice & helpful in recommendations for food & places to visit. The room was clean & the bed was comfy. It had a table, nice size fridge & usb charging plugs. The property is older & the paint job/tile work isn’t great, but for the price, this place was great. If you want a spa-type resort, this probably isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly place to stay I highly recommend. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

It was amazing. It’s a small place and the owners live on-site. You can really tell the difference in customer service compared to a large chain. I came in late riding a motorcycle in the rain and they were able to get me into a nice room and even provided a dehumidifier to help with drying the gear.

This is a small family-run motel on the edge of a forested area. It is not uncommon to see deer on the property. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They are in the midst of refurbishing, so it will probably soon be in better condition. We enjoyed our stay here and would return if in the area again.

Im not usually the type to bother with leaving reviews... But From the moment i arrived, and the owner greeted me with a smile in the parking lot and walked me into the office, i was instantly knew i made the right choice! Checking in was quick and simple. She was very helpful and informative. She answered any questions without me needing to ask them. I could tell that its important to her that her guests enjoy their stay. She was very sweet and kind. When i entered the room, i immediately noticed how clean and tidy it was. Although it was probably the hottest day of the summer so far, the room was surprisingly comfortable temperature. There was instructions for the tv remotes, and wifi passwords clearly posted. The tv was a roku tv so i was able to connect to my streaming accounts. The shower was great with hot water that never ran out. The bed was amazing. Very comfortable, soft sheets and pillows. Dont let the cheap rates fool you, they could easily charge as much if not more than all the other motels in the area. I highly recommend and I look forward to coming back!! :)

Shiny is a family run operation. The property is older and the owners are making improvements. The room was super clean and the foam beds are new and very comfortable. We enjoyed the pavilion where a fire pit exists. The towels were the best we have used in some time. They shared some of their plants with the wife for her garden. We would recommend Shiny and would stay there again. No breakfast, but that is within 5 miles (Denny's, etc.) Very quiet. It is nice to patronize people who care about their property and your experience.

The owners are super sweet. Our room was very clean which was a nice surprise given it is an older hotel. It is also nice to support a small business owner. The 15 year old who is picky about motel rooms said this this place was pretty nice and we should stay here again. 😀

This is an older motel but is well maintained, very clean, and staff is very friendly.

Property is at the edge of Hoquiam and convenient to the highway access to get up to Lake Quinault. Owners were accommodating to special requests, were available onsite for any concerns that arise, provided daily housekeeping service and even offered complimentary bottled water to guests.

The beds were very comfortable and great pillows.

The staff is very friendly and informative. Rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped. Definitely, we will stay here here.

Great value for cost. Excellent location and access to the Olympic Peninsula. Staff is very responsive and welcoming.
