Surestay Plus Hotel by Best Western Susanville

Excellent breakfast,pool was half inside and out and hot tub was great. The staff was warm and welcoming!

This was a good place. We liked the breakfast at the restaurant next door. It would have been nice to know that the breakfast was restaurant vouchers instead of self-serve continental breakfast so we could have planned our time better.

Breakfast included is for the Lumberjack restaurant across the way and it's great! Rooms are clean.Beds are a little soft for me but overall a great stay and will return!

Staff was pleasant, room smelled like mold but went away while the window was open. The big problem is they charged us for the room even though we paid through Expedia. I was told they were fixing it but it hasn’t been fixed yet.

The floors and walls/doors were noticeable dirty, and the toilet wasn’t cleaned with hair on it. The sheets were stained and leftover food from previous occupant was in the fridge. The air conditioner was also incredibly loud.

A dump. Chairs dirty, hair dryer broken, dirty outside, food was terrible. They serve a “special” menu for guests not the regular menu. One of the staff said don’t eat the meals with vouchers, pay and order off regular menu,much better

free breakfast voucher was the best part, otherwise kind of a dump but what do you expect for the price?

Very helpful friendly staff. A good complimentary breakfast at Lumberjack diner next door, but beware of ording anything extra, an order of toast was $4. A lot for 2 small pieces of toast with a smear of butter.

Great complementary breakfast at Lumberjack’s in the same parking lot. Great staff at hotel & restaurant.

The entire town is run down . There was trash all over the parking lot and It looked like the maintenance guy forgot to put all those tools away because there was stuff all around the maintenance building. The room was pretty nice I have to say. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet. We got a good nights rest.

It’s ok to stay for a night.

This Surestay was middle of the road at best. The staff was the highlight (they were all wonderful!). Susanville is a typical NorCal rural town. Everything you need is within a 5-minute drive. We just needed a place to rest between Nevada and Oregon. We chose this motel because it included breakfast and a pool (not one or the other). After 9 hours of driving in the heat we were looking forward to the pool (and to burn off two kids’ energy), but were very disappointed when we arrived. The pool was brown and full of debris and was in the midst of being drained. I guess the good news is they are working on it? At least that would be my hope. The room was fine. Clean. They are working on cosmetic updates: LVP flooring, new mattresses and linens, large TVs. Breakfast at Lumberjacks was nice. Better than continental fare. You order from a menu with three options starting at 7am.

I don’t understand the good reviews. Our hotel room was noisy, the a/c was incredibly loud and woke us up every time it switched on. The area is not good. The only bright spot was the breakfast- but because you’re from the hotel you get poor service at the restaurant. I won’t return.

The hotel is very run-down. There was mold in the bathtub. The pool, right outside our door was stagnant and unuseable. The only good thing was the free breakfast at the restsurant next door.

This property is rundown and poorly maintained. The bathroom was representative--tub drains slowly, tub floor is slippery, the shampoo and conditioner receptacles on the wall were empty. The property grounds are also dirty and noisy.

This place needs some work. At the price we paid, we got ripped off. The grounds look like they need a pressure washer for at least a few days, then a deep scrub… Rooms look put together by a thrift shop manager.

Room was clean, large and convenient. Though it’s assessable, the soap , towel's, sink, additional security lock, handheld shower and bathroom mirror are all above the reach of anyone in a wheelchair. Also, our room had some type of air freshener that was a strong odor of maple syrup. After a while, it was a little overwhelming. The price was fair but far from what we would expect from a Best Western facility.

Great place with clean and spacious rooms. Also has a really good restaurant next door
