The building was very interesting and steeped in so much history and character. The downstairs speak easy had an almost castle vibe with the stonework and ambiance.

Would I stay here again? YES! Would I recommend it? YES! But Olivers is not for average travelling bear. Must be able to navigate purely electronic text/web based checkin. No Parking so must navigate similarly difficult garage across street with non-functioning elevator. Sauna is a PLUS amenity!

We were on our Bikes and as soon as we pulled up there was an unhoused person on the sidewalk across the street. Street parking was the option and we checked in and out online and did not even go in. We went to another hotel in an area that felt safer. The hotel looked really cute from the outside.

I thought the renovation was amazing. It is quick and easy access to everything downtown and Canal Point. The neighborhood is also being renovated. We were on the first floor in front of the street window so there was some noise later in the evening. Overall, will absolutely come back. The room itself was lovely!!!

Cool hotel with friendly bar on main floor. Beds were comfortable. Room very clean. Easy parking across the street. The only negative was the sad state of downtown Duluth - I wasn't expecting big city problems in a small town (high # of homeless, obnoxious e-bikers along the lake path, etc.).

Amazing location, we parked and walked to everything. We parked on the street right next to the hotel. We were nervous about the car but everything was fine. The hotel is so unique and each room tells a different story. The beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was huge! Loved the onsite bar!! We will only stay here when in Duluth. Side note food at canal park brewery is excellent and ice cream at love creamery is a must!

The Oliver Inn is such a cool little place. It’s a destination of its own. The whole building is decorated in such a style, you forget you’re not on a history tour. The location is great; parking is tricky, but not unbearable. If we ever wander back to Duluth, this is where we will be staying!
