Travelodge by Wyndham Silver Spring

Rat and cockroach infested. Super dirty. Falling apart. Overpriced.

Towels were dirty,shower curtain had stains,no towel rack ,no coffee pot,no phone,shower was not clean

We had a great time, hopefully they can renovate the travelodge hotel. I want to see them improve and new look hotel.

The room that i was placed in wasnt the room that actually wanted. The room it self was cery small....it wasnt a good experience.

Bed is SUPER uncomfortable. There was a small blood stain on one of the beds. Door was very difficult to close and I heard multiple car alarms go off in the night. Air conditioning works but is bad. This is my worst hotel experience ever. Didn’t die so 2 stars

Great visit

I stayed at Travelodge by Wyndham Silver Spring from July 14–17, 2025 on a prepaid, non-refundable reservation through Expedia. The room (421) had large roaches, which made the environment unsanitary and uncomfortable. Although I didn’t report the issue earlier, I informed the hotel at the moment I checked out a night early, on July 17. The staff later agreed to refund the unused final night through Expedia, which I appreciate. That said, this was not the experience I expected from a Wyndham-branded hotel. The property needs serious improvements in cleanliness and maintenance.

It was convenient. Check in was easy.

The entrance is behind the building and shared with a Day’s Inn. Everything is run down. This Travelodge is a welfare motel!! No electric lights in the first room they gave me. Local Uber driver will often refuse riders to and from Travelodge. Word is they have bugs. The bathtub was filthy. I sent the picture of it to Expedia for my file. Expedia promised to get a full refund for my accommodations. Nothing yet!

No frigde in the rooms. No microvave in the rooms. The commercial on line shows microvave and a frigde but in reality it was a dis appointment. Was soo shock about the situation with such a hot weather.

Everything was unexpectedly dirty, the lobby, stairs, doors, lousy parking.......Nothing was acceptable. I did not occupy the rooms they offer me. I had to look for another place. I ask you please, refund my money because there was no way to have it know it before been on the place, pictures on line are totally deceiving. You should not promote this kind of lousy bussines.

Worn out

I would never stay at this location again. What we got, was not what was described. We were extremely disappointed considering this was a upscale hotel name and we expected more.

From the moment we opened the room door we wanted to leave. The door didn't shut properly. The carpets were filthy. The wallpaper was peeling off. Sockets were hanging off the wall. The shower was broken and ran hot water constantly all night long and made the bathroom a sauna. No coffee/tea facilities. We felt very unsafe as other rooms had been broken in to. We didn't sleep and checked out the next morning asking for a full refund! This property should not be open to the public!

I don't recommend anyone to stay there, especially if you don't smoke or you're just a girl. I booked a non-smoking room and got a room that smelled of marijuana. After my complaint, they changed the room, but that one was even worse, and the hallway smelled of urine.. (sorry). I didn't feel safe there (and I'm a strong middle-aged man). There is one plus, I realized that you shouldn't save on a hotel 😁

The room I was put the first night had terrible smell. Generally horrible looking property, don’t bring family or a date.

The lobby of the Travelodge appeared to be abandoned, with a badly faded, hand-written sign on the door that said to check in at the Days Inn (which occupied part of the same building)- it was nearly impossible to make out the "Days Inn", frankly I was just lucky I had noticed the Days Inn on the way in and was able to guess that the barely-visible remnants of a few letters might be spelling that. I arrived late at night, and would have been stranded in a rather sketchy-looking motel parking lot if I hadn't figured it out. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the shower floor was cracked and broken (not in a way that leaked or anything, just in a way that made it clear that maintenance and repair was not a top priority). The bedsheets were fine when I checked in, but I noticed some small stains on them after housekeeping came by the next day, which was quite odd. Fortunately, my personal standards aren't especially high- I was in town for a concert and some museum-going and really just wanted a bed to sleep in for a couple of nights and a bathroom to use, and it at least met those needs... at least, it did once I managed to piece together where to check in, which really shouldn't be a challenge. The fact that the sign telling me where to go to check in was barely legible was truly baffling- who oversees this property? Have they visited any time in the past 5 years? It would have taken some time for the sign to fade like that, and it's a pretty obvious issue.
