Hanoi HP serviced Apartment

Ownership was changed for this property, but we were not informed about this. So very surprised to be told at check-in and then being kicked back out to fend for ourselves. No decency to try to help. Main excuse was they do not speak English - there was plenty of staff who did speak English Very rude and no sense of any compassion or service

This apartment is awesome. It is older but very clean and comfortable. There’s a tiny balcony that overlooks an alley in the Old Quarter. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs are a plus. Although the street is on is one of the more quieter streets. The location couldn’t be better! There is a café downstairs that is open occasionally, a flower shop down the street and lots of other coffee shops and food options EVERYWHERE! There are two lakes within walking distance, and the Old Quarter is so full of character and charm. It is a must visit place! I asked many questions through Expedia and never got a response. If you do not speak fluent Vietnamese, it would be very helpful to have some sort of translator app with you for check-in. If you arrive before check-in, you can leave your things at the café and go explore. There is a water filtration system in your room. The apartment is very close to the bus stop for the express bus 86 that runs from the airport into the Old Quarter. Make sure to have Vietnamese dong with you, as most places only except cash. The metal gate that secures the building is very limited in its functionality. There is a code, but the code does not seem to really work and sometimes the gate is really hard to open. Otherwise, totally recommend this spot!

Charming colonial-style house with well equipped studios on each floor. Very good for guests who spend most of the day outside exploring the city and only need a place to rest at night and watch some early morning hustling activities of local people in the neighborhood. Noise insulation is very low, as it’s the typical Vietnamese way of living. There is no elevator (as this is an old building) so be prepared to carry your luggage’s upstairs. Overall, if you can handle the noise and small space in Hanoi Old Quarter, the value is incredible for the cheap price.

In the middle of old quarter, really easy to access, and its super easy to just stroll around to see the place. Located right above a cafe, which has great drinks :)
