It was a nice experience worth to try when you were in Kyoto. Nice staff, great view along the way from Saga-Arashiyama to Kameoka. I think you would have a greater view if you come in other seasons than summer.

The view from the train was beautiful. You could drop at the station near Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. It’s kind of a bummer if you got the aisle seat though, especially if you ride with a friend or partner, but another couple took all the window seats.

The view from the window seat was wonderful. You have to book a month before the trip, if not, the window seat will be taken. If you get an aisle seat, you cannot see the river below.

Leaving on April 11th, the view was not the same as what was on social media.

Got last minute ticket from app since other app was sold out. It was easy and efficient ticket redemption. The app is one of the best travel A-Z apps so far. I'm happy, thank you. The Sagano train journey was well worth the wait. It was a magical autumn night and one of the best experiences I had so far in Kyoto.

Firstly, it wasnt clear advice on which station to board based on our booking till we go all the way to the QR code page at the Saga Torroko station which is the wrong station based on our ticket so we had to purchase new ticket as we have no time to go to Kameoka station to board the train per printed on the voucher at QR code page. The ride is good but no proper queue at station. Luckily we can still book a ride with assigned seats. Traveloka should advised cleared on the confirmation email or alloe us to choose station to board etc

Beautiful view! Even though short, it was an amazing view, especially with all the cherry blossom trees.

The train itself is good, just that the etickets were unable to load up, I had to seek assistance from the staff to issue me paper tickets. Staff was very helpful though

best purchase. no need to redeem. just show the online ticket. arrived an hour too early but they let me get on the train anw. chose to ride from arashiyama and it was best decision as it was less crowded. freely moved from one side to another because the view was changing. very beautiful. enjoyed it more than arashiyama bamboo.
