Booking tickets is easy. I booked my Shinkansen Green Car ticket two months in advance, worried that the Mt. Fuji view seats would be sold out during the cherry blossom season. I received my Shinkansen QR code one month before departure. On my departure date, just scan the QR code at the JR Shinkansen station entrance and depart. A medium-sized suitcase (24") can be stored in the compartment above the seat.

JR Shinkansen Nozomi is amazing, I suggest that if possible the price be lowered considering that the fleet is not the newest.

Easy, fast, and seamless onboarding. The ticket will be sent to your email D-1 of your departure, all you have to do is walk up to the Tokaido Shinkansen gate (make sure to go on the QR gates), scan your ticket, and be on your way!
