For the price, the room was run down. They also have an early shut down on room service. We had no water bottles upon arriving or cream/qtips. There was actually someone else’s q tip on the carpet. The check in and staff were very friendly and helpful. The Starbucks and restaurant looked nice as well.

Hotel is right on the water which provided great views of the Soo locks from our room and during breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and made to order every day. Coffee is provided by Starbucks which was also great. Located about 42 minutes away from Searchmont Resort, it was perfect for our ski vacation. Plenty of great food options nearby and walking distance from GFL Memorial Gardens hockey arena. We enjoyed using the large indoor hot tub after a long day of skiing which was nice and hot with great views of the Soo locks. Definitely the best hotel in town and cannot recommend it enough.

Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was a little worn. The plug-in outlets would not hold my plug-ins properly. They kept falling out very loose and worn.

A Delta fail! The wallpaper was coming off in my hotel bathroom and I’m certain there was mold on it too. The bathroom also had a bad pee odour the moment you walked in. No outlet set up for the cheap low quality coffee machine inside the room. Just an overall miss for Delta, too pricey for what you receive. My next night I stayed at the Marriot as I usually do and was more satisfied. As a person that travels for business often- this location is the worse Delta yet.

It was a small room for the price. The HVAC unit wasn't controllable from the wall thermostat. The sink and tub drains were partially plugged. The workers on the floor above didn't end their jack hammering until 5 pm, and they started working again at 7:15 am the next morning. The exercise area was small and not well supplied.

Never made it to the Hotel, because I had accidentally booked the night of( Nov 18th) and not todays date -Nov 19th. So i lost out on $312... not impressed at all. Terrible first experience with you guys. Simple mistake and no reimbursement or anything, even when i got the insurance added in. Very disappointed. O well, always need to double check. My own fault

We always stay at this hotel when visiting family in the Soo, and until now, our experiences have been excellent. Unfortunately, on Friday, November 14, I had a very disappointing experience at breakfast. When I arrived at the restaurant, I informed the hostess that my reservation included the buffet. She looked at me and said, “I’m not sure,” in a way that made me feel as though I was trying to get something I hadn’t paid for. I gave her my room number, and she walked away to check—but never returned. After waiting for quite some time, I approached her again, and she told me I couldn’t have the buffet. It turned out she had my room number incorrectly. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, both she and a male staff member were extremely rude. They treated me as if I were trying to cheat the system and said, “Okay, okay, we’ll let you have the food for free!” I explained that it wasn’t free—I had already paid for it. They continued to be dismissive and repeatedly told me that this was a five-star hotel and that I didn’t understand their process. The male staff member even walked away muttering something under his breath. I was shocked by this behavior and wondered if this is truly the attitude expected at a five-star property. However, the next day, when I returned for breakfast, the day's staff was friendly and helpful, and there were no issues. Because of this, I still hold a generally positive view of the hotel and consider the November 14 incident an isolated case.
