Lovely old building but the suite we had lacked character despite the fantastic views of the sea and promenade. There were only white walls and some ‘art’ would have enhanced the whole character of the suite. A beautiful bathroom was ruined by the narrow toilet compartment!! Staff were wonderful.

The way Expedia is describing this hotel is COMPLETELY wrong and misleading. This hotel is very old, the "renovations" they claim to have done are very poor. This hotel has 5 floors and taking the stairs up to my room on the fourth floor you can see serious damage and cracks on the walls and ceilings. The floors are not flat. The hallway floors and my room floor was not flat or even, they are all tilted and the higher floors you go the more visible and pronounced. My room floor was so tilted I felt dizzy standing. I felt unsafe at this hotel. My room floor had such thick carpeting you had to actively push/pull the door open/ close. My whole room, which had a view to the beach, looked old, the TV remote did not work. Parking is not available at the hotel and they couldn't care less and do not help you finding parking. Not even worth 3 stars, let alone 4 as they claim they are. When I addressed these issues at the front desk, I was totally dismissed. It was so bad, I had to leave and find a new hotel that same night. I contacted Expedia and they also dismissed my claims and refused to refund me. I relied on Expedia's description and review of this hotel to book it. I have been a customer with Expedia for over 20 years. The only word here is disappointment. Please do your own research before booking any hotel with Expedia. Had I done that, I would never have booked this horrible hotel.

Very impressed with the size, quality and the cleanliness. A few teething issues, but they were resolved immediately and without question. The only this is that the matress was way too thick and I don’t believe the bed sheets were changed during our stay - I wouldn’t mark them down on these as I didn’t ask for thinner sheets and I couldn’t say for sure about bed shert changing, although they did feel quite greasy after 3-4 days. Overall I would recommend and would stay there again

Room was clean and spacious. I found the bed comfy as I prefer a firmer bed. Staff were helpful. The bar is nice especially sitting outside. We had a great stay.

Beautiful hotel , and we booked a sea view with balcony , the room was excellent , especially the view .The trip could have been enhanced if there wasn’t an additional cost for the hotel pool . The staff were charming and the bar staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend as perfect location.

Great location by the beach, well served by public transport. A wonderful blend of period and modern features. Spacious rooms. Helpful staff.

Great location, very convenient

We had a top floor room. Views of the ocean and beach were amazing. Room was large and comfortable. Of note, the bathroom featured a tub with the handheld head.. The tub was very slippery and awkward to get into. This is a personal preference, but I always ask for showers if possible. Much safer and convenient.

Beautiful historic hotel right on Promenade Anglais and beach. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful bar and restaurant on site. Perfect place to stay in Nice. We had the King suite which was truly wonderful with balcony overlooking the sea. You won't regret staying here. Close to many historic sites in Nice.

The room was very clean and spacious. We tried booking the spa the first thing in the morning because you cannot book it from the reception, we had to go downstairs to the spa in the morning just to find out the only spot they had was when we had other plans at 16:30 which ruined the whole day for us because it was my partner’s birthday and I wanted to surprise him. When we got there in the afternoon we were not even told that one sauna wasn’t working, and the other one was booked for a private session for somebody else, we could only use the hammam. The water inside the pool was too cold to swim in so we had to spend an hour just staying in the jacuzzi crowded with other people. I don’t think we got what we paid for.

First there was No air condition the Bed was very low Sunk in the middle the furniture it was extremely wobbly night tables shabby carpet filthy no washcloths because they said people shine their shoes with them refrigerator in room doesn't keep things cold no bathrobes no slippers hair dryer didn't even work. The way the hallways and the rooms were laid out it was kind of set up like a penitentiary. Not a place I would stay at ever again Outright filthy
