The room was good and the location was perfect, being centrally located. The front desk service was clearly overwhelmed by handling many guests with only one person doing this during check in and check out. Long lines were formed creating congestion in the lobby. It was very disorganized. The complimentary dinner was a buffet. Again there were no clear social distancing or structure to this and long lines were formed to get food and greater groups formed. Tables were placed 2cm away from the buffet and staff had difficulty keeping up with cleaning tables and bringing more food as more people arrived. Dinner was from 6-8. Again, there was hand sanitizer but no structure or Organisation we have come to see in other hotels. It wasn’t possible to order drinks with dinner, no vegetarian option unless you like plain rice or pasta. Breakfast was a similar story, long lines out the door, no tables or these were needing to be cleaned. We chose to eat our breakfast in another room due to the amount of people. We understood that buffets were not allowed under current pandemic restrictions. Girl at front desk was lovely despite the chaos. Potential is there for this hotel but we will not stay in another clarion group hotel.
