We had an overall lovely stay at the The Connemara Coast Hotel. The property is peaceful, beautiful, and perfect if you are looking to stay outside of the busier areas of Galway. The food was excellent, and every staff member we encountered was incredibly kind and welcoming.
That said, the hotel did appear somewhat understaffed for the size of the property, especially during a very large wedding weekend. We unfortunately found mold in our bathroom and waited a few hours for assistance due to limited housekeeping availability. A very kind bellman eventually came and personally spent time scrubbing the area himself, which we greatly appreciated.
The rooms could benefit from a deeper overall clean, as the bathroom and coffee/desking area were a bit dusty. The walls are also thin, so hallway noise and wedding activity can easily be heard, though it felt somewhat expected for this type of property.
For transportation into Galway, we would recommend taking a taxi unless you have a rental car. The bus runs about every 30 minutes to an hour but can be quite slow.
Overall, despite a few areas for improvement, we still had a genuinely pleasant and relaxing stay. I would probably stay again or find somewhere else in Connemara :) beautiful property however.
