Bad: Extra charge for parking. Restaurant expensive for the quality. Musty room smell. No lift. Good: Gym is well equipped. Beds Comfy. USB ports next to bed. Staff helpful.

Good location, with plenty of car parking, staff friendly and helpful. The spa service is great and reasonably priced compared to spa hotels. The one negative is the walls are thin and had a lot of noise, doors being slammed on my visit.

We went for a relaxing spa. Firstly, the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room, one of the hottest days so far, was told they would check and in the meantime there was a fan in the cupboard. No fan, but a heater!! Phoned reception again to let them know and then said they would come back to me. Went to reception and we changed rooms which was a much better room anyway. We used the pool facilities which were nice enough but unfortunately there were 2 children in particular who screamed constantly and it was so loud in such a small environment. We have no issue with children at all playing etc but the screaming was not fair for other guests who were there to relax. This did spoil it a bit to be honest. In the morning breakfast was lovely and back to the spa. Children playing, no problem. Criticism: only 6 sunbeds!! Went back to our room for a shower before returning home and we had no hot water!

Good location if you are going to an event bat Brands Hatch. But the fact that hotel residents have to pay a tenner a night extra to park in the Hotel car park is a rip off. For what is supposed to be a four star hotel I was disappointed it didn't have any lifts which made carrying luggage to the room a chore. One of the lights in the room didn't work and the bathroom floor was covered in lots of water which was not the expected standard.

The hotel was easy to find and had everything we needed on site or nearby. The staff were so friendly and amazingly helpful. I booked a Superior room which was huge with a large bed and lovely bathroom....but, after an hour or so of being in the room, we realised that the door next to the bed was actually an interconnecting door to the next room. We could hear EVERYTHING the couple next door were up to. I did go to reception, and they were very helpful and accommodating and upgraded us to a Privilege room on the next floor, so I really cannot fault the staff at all. This room even had a partial track view and a mini fridge and loads of extras. Unfortunately later that night we realised that the walls in this room were paper thin, and we spent an hour and a half listening to man having a conversation on his phone. I probably wouldn't stay again, or recommend this hotel, as there is obviously no soundproofing on any of the rooms. For what they cost, you would expect this as standard to ensure privacy and peace for everyone. The parking is also quite expensive. £20.00 for 2 cars for the night. I understand that they must get a lot of people trying to park for the track, but other Mercure Hotels include parking, and all you have to do is add your vehicle reg to validate. So unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

Rooms showing signs of wear and tear. Classic small amounts of mould in bathroom. As with all hotels now breakfast was extremely expensive even with discounted rate. Rooms lacking provision of drinking water. Hotel claims rooms are soundproofed as next to Brands Hatch Racing Circuit. Unfortunately not a proofed as expected! Room heating was not working - although small electric heater was supplied. Room was very dark with minimal lighting.

Most of Hotel staff were lovely and helpfull. Breakfast wasn't included so payed night before £12.50 instead of £19 pp. Racing bar very nice but are food order was messed up and took about 44 min for my pizza to turn up. Lovely pool with steam room and sauna

Checked in Sunday evening at 8:45. Went to bar, ordered drink, about to order food. Power cut. Emergency lighting for rest of night, no food, limited everything else. No water pressure so couldn't shower etc. Staff didn't know what was going on or what to do. It was a problem just at the hotel, not the local area. No explanation or apology at check out.

Room was perfect. Only complaint with it, is would be nice if doors were better sound insulated as you can hear everyone that walks past talking and even heard cleaners at 10am hoovering the corridor etc. Also eventhough spa amenities close at 10pm, I was disappointed that at 9.28 they closed the Jacuzzi to empty it out, all amenities should close minimum 10 minutes before and atleast have some sort of warning by staff to be aware. Missed out on jacuzzi because of this.

Hotel and spa was just what we were looking for, unfortunately there was a wedding/reception going on which made for a long wait to check in. Room was very clean and spacious, we had a meal at the racer bar which was good.

Room had no heating, it was broken. Small oil filled radiator inadequate to heat the room. Asked for another duvet, never arrived. Slept in a jumper! Shocking, wouldn’t stay again!
