Clean, modern hotel in a great location - the metro is right outside the hotel door. The lack of air conditioning might be a problem in the summer, it was fine in the fall.

I recently returned to the Swiss Wine Hotel during my 2025 trip to Switzerland, eager to reconnect with friends and explore the charming city of Lausanne and its surroundings. Once again, the hotel proved to be the perfect base for my adventures. Its unbeatable location right outside Bessières Metro station made getting around a breeze, while a Coop supermarket just across the street offered convenience for any essentials. Within walking distance, I enjoyed visiting the historic Place de la Riponne and the breathtaking cathedral, all easily accessible via a scenic stroll across the Charles Bessières Bridge. My room (605) was impeccably clean and furnished with a plush, comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The only minor drawback was the warmth, as the room was situated in the attic, which made it quite cozy. However, the air conditioning swiftly alleviated the heat, albeit quite noisy when in operation. Despite that small inconvenience, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. I highly recommend the Swiss Wine Hotel to anyone seeking a cozy, well-located spot in Lausanne. It’s a true gem for both leisure and exploration!

Had a great view from the window of the city, and the hotels architecture and interior were very unique and beautiful. Staff were great and the breakfast was actually very high quality compared to many other hotels and delicious. Close to a lot of shopping and nightlife, overall a great stay, and spacious room.

I liked the position of the hotel and I like that they have a deal with a nearby parkinglot. The rooms were too hot, even with the ceiling fan, it was impossible to be there in daytime, we went in August.

Silverfish in the bathroom, mould in the mini fridge, and no air conditioning. Honestly, I expected better. On the plus side, sheets and towels were clean, staff were kind, toiletries were replenished every day, and there was an extra fan in the room.

Great local, very comfortable and clean room. The only drawback for the lack of air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan and a table fan but they did not really make the room temperature comfortable for sleeping. The windows open but it was noisy at night because of European football finals taking place and locals celebrating the matches in the streets.

In fact, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located hotel in Lausanne. Just be prepared for a warm stay during the summer months!

Included metro/bus/train ticket with our stay which made getting around very easy.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was in a great location. Easy access to the train and close to many restaurants and cafes. The view from the room was great too (the Lausanne Cathedreal). However, our room was dirty (coffee stains on the walls, cobwebs on the floors, etc.). The conditions were also not great (the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, the shower always made the floor wet, it was hard to open the bathroom door, dents in the wall, etc.). The wifi was also spotty and slow. Larger fans were needed in the room, since there was no air conditioning. It was extremely hot during our stay.

Great location. There were two saunas on offer. The first was down by the fitness area- would recommend. The second is actually your room, with the lack of air-con giving you 24/7 opportunity to open those pores. There is a fan that acts as substitute to the A/C. It is as useful as those powder milk substitutes that you get in some hotels… oh wait.
