Always a great place to stay with the family. Kids enjoyed the pool and also playing at the pool table. The fact that we can walk in the underground city to go almost anywhere is great in winter since you don’t need to bring your coat and/or boots. The staff is also very nice and the welcome you with warm cookies (which is a big deal for the kids!)

Great location with access to lots of restaurants and shops without having to go outdoors. Great for children of all ages.

Overall, several bad things, even though the location and view and parking excellent. The day before I arrived, I called reception and it rang for 30+ times, with no answer. Later, I called again and asked about parking, and the staff person hung up on me mid-conversation. When I checked in, I asked for a room FAR away from noisy elevators: when I got to my room, it was NEXT to the elevators. The bathroom sink was clogged and wouldn't drain. Even though it was freezing outside, the heating in the room was noisy and did not work well, and there was only 1 light blanket on the bed. Overall, lots of bad things. Disappoinitng.

The hotel is right downtown Montreal which makes it a great location, the staff is helpful and friendly, the room was spotless and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. This wasn't our first time at the DoubleTree Inn and we'll be back!

It was not the room or the hotel but their inability to be flexible. We booked our room and paid through Expedia. We only had to make a deposit on a credit card on arrival. We have one credit card and it was compromised so thast bank blocked transactions. Since we did not have asvolid card, the hotel said we could not have the room. It took more than an hour of emailing to a family member to use their card. We offered to put a deposit on debit or pay cash but the Hotel refused. We have stayed in the hotel at least 50 times. We will not stay again.

I was presented with a surprise charge at check-in. I booked a room for three people that included a king bed, and a sofa bed. When I arrive to check in, I was told that I did not book a room for a sofa bed, even though I had booked a room for three people. The person at Doubletree said that it was the fault of hotels.com. Please figure it out folks.

Dirty wine glasses were in the hall outside our room when we arrived Friday night. They were still there when we checked out Sunday. Garbage in general areas. Hotel staff were friendly. Room was comfortable, clean and updated.

The washroom shower needs regrouting as it's black. It would be nice for pool towels to be refilled more frequently. Otherwise, the stay was great.
