The hotel is outdated, the heater in the room hardy worked and the switches were melted. Lights were hanging out of their sockets, kettle was ancient - the entire place is dated.

The receptionist was a lovely lady and she looked after us well despite being a bit early. Very nice lady and made us feel welcome. Room was clean and we got exactly what we paid for, great value. As Dubs, we were shocked at how nice the hotel was the price we paid. All the best to the staff.

Welcoming and helpful staff, good cleanliness. Room was ok, beds comfortable but toilet seat was too small for toilet and wasn’t attended to despite us reporting it. Fire door in hallway bangs loudly each time used due to door closer not working properly making it difficult to sleep. Hotel is very central so external noise to be expected.

First off, the staff here are great, as is the bar! That being said, the hotel itself is very old and the room feels like it needs a tune up

Staff was very friendly, food at Benners is amazing! Highly recommend lunch there on Thursday/sunday especially if you like pizza! Rooms are a bit outdated and no mini fridge but it’s clean and comfortable.

Benner’s Hotel is in a perfect location if you’re looking for accommodation in Tralee town. Staff was excellent! They were extremely helpful with any questions I had. The room was dated but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not included in my rate but was very good with an excellent selection of items. I would highly recommend this hotel

Firstly there was no parking, nearest paying public car park was 750 yards away, two pensioners carrying bags ! The room was in need of refurbishment, very old fashioned and not particularly clean, same for the bathroom. There were loud noises which we assumed came from the plumbing. Extremely noisy with banging doors until 4am and outside noise too. We left after our first night even though we had booked two

The hotel has no AC and the fans get taken… quite a few dining options around…. It gets very loud at night as the local pubs are around.

We booked at the wrong Benner’s so be careful when booking. Older hotel, No parking on site, no a/c, close to busy noisy downtown but if you want to be in the centre of the hustle and bustle this is the spot to be.

Hostess at check-in was friendly, helpfu, & all-around great. Mattress was very stiff & uncomfortable. It was nice to have an AC unit though. The restaurant was 50/50. Food tasted fine, although it was over cooked (asked for medium-rare & got medium. Server was friendly, but no super attentive once meal was done & we ultimately had to walk to the bar to pay our bill. Who knows, they could’ve been under staffed & she could’ve been busy. Parking is a nightmare, but nothing the hotel can do about that.

Lovely staff. Very well preserved old hotel pub. Very central and lovely.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. I loved my stay here and will choose this hotel again if I ever return to Tralee!

Some staff very pleasant, especially food serving staff in restaurant, and Peter behind the bar was excellent and friendly. People on Reception close to being incompetent and unfriendly! Room is basic; no pictures on wall, no glasses or plastic cups in bathrooms, no extractor fans in toilet/bathroom, outside window barely opens so very little ventilation. On arrival room was very stuffy and no window open or curtains drawn for shade - room like a sauna. Worse still was thatour room on second floor over the front door streetside; the give away was that a €0.50 pair of earplugs provided in the bathroom - cars pass under window all night as do people coming and going; hotel's empty bottles loaded in to skip at 7am under our window; room still like a sauna. Second night, Council workmen stated roadmending ( honestly!)with impact tools gone midnight hour for a 1-2 hours; bin men emptied bins at 7am on to truck; roadseeeper machine cleaned gutters at 7.30am - and room still a sauna. Include no car park, I woner why people would want to stay - and it's not cheap. Overall, my worst stop in Irish /Ireland hotel in coming here 40 years and often twice or more a year! Sorry, a joke!. And receptionist, who ignored me twice previously in morning before complaint, gave only a cursory "oh,sorry about that"

Plumbing in bathroom was not up to scratch...breakfast was very basic and disappointing

The best thing about the Benners hotel is the staff. Warm and welcoming the Benners staff exemplified what it means to be truly hospitable.

Was great. Restaurant was very good. Staff very friendly. Nice athmosphere. Clean room. . Right in centre of town. Closest hotel to Tralee Railway and Bus station. Prob be noisy outside when Turners nite club running, Would be great if they struck a deal with Kerry co.co regarding residence parking allowance up to 10am as you have to put ticket on your car at 0820 at assigned St Johns car park. Otherwise cannot fault the place.
