One thing I would strongly suggest to the hotel management is addressing the issue with the horse drawn buggies and the taxi drivers waiting outside the property. Unfortunately, having a gate is not enough when, the moment you step outside, they immediately approach you, pressure you, and aggressively try to force you to use their services instead of apps like inDrive. The hotel should work with the tourist police to remove these individuals from the street leading to the hotel entrance. Tourists should be able to walk freely or order an inDrive without being harassed. At one point, I even witnessed two taxi drivers verbally confronting an inDrive driver for picking up a couple, as if they owned the entire area. We stayed at the Steigenberger Resort Achti and walked several times to dine at the Steigenberger Nile Palace, which is only about 0.8 miles away. However, because of the intense heat, we often had to use inDrive, which cost around 50 Egyptian pounds each way. At one point, the taxi drivers pressured us so much that we almost got into one of their taxis. When I asked for the price, the driver quoted 500 Egyptian pounds for the same ride. This is exactly why traditional taxi drivers are losing business and why services like inDrive are becoming more popular. Unless they start being honest and charging fair prices, they will continue to lose customers.

The front desk staff, particularly Ms. Magda, provided an exceptional and highly professional welcome. The accommodations, though standard, included a very comfortable bed and pillows, and presented a stunning view of the Nile. The pool area offered a remarkably relaxing environment, enhanced by impressive landscaping. The breakfast buffet merits a five-star rating.

An excellent hotel offering all the amenities and services you would expect from a five star stay. However, the experience is somewhat spoilt by the persistent and rather annoying taxi and horse carriage drivers gathered at the entrance which unfortunately is the case for most of Luxor. It would greatly improve guest comfort if they were positioned further away from the hotel. Additionally, the presence of horse waste on the road leading to the entrance area is both unpleasant in appearance and smell, which impacts the overall impression. I understand this may be outside control of the hotel but thought I would mention it.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They provided assistance as requested which was great.

Spectacular Nile location, full amenities, and great staff doesn't disappointed. We want to especially commend front counter person Ola. Her honest smile and language skills smoothed the edges of our great stay away from home.

The room was clean, but it was old and not up to 5-star standards. The cleaning staff were very friendly, but the other staff at the desk were just so-so. In particular, the breakfast area did not provide napkins, and although there was a lot of food, it was a breakfast with nothing to eat.

The receptionist is inconsiderate, we arrive around 11pm with four luggages, they put me in another building which is several mins walk from the main building. and there is no elevator, we had to carry four luggages to the second floor. The room is moldy smell，we turn on the heat and fan on the thermostat, it never gets warm, we changed the temperature to 30, after two hours , the room gets colder. Obviously the heat never works except the fan, I had to turn off the thermostat. I would definitely ask to change the room if it’s not midnight. There is also water on the floor by the toilet. The bed linen were so damp, the pillow were too firm and too high, more like a cushion. I couldn’t sleep due to coldness and damp linen and uncomfortable pillows. The light switches look dirty. Worse than $60 Motel condition in U.S. It looks like there is a big hall for breakfast dishes, but no good quality food. The worst living experience with a hotel.

Decent room. Not a 5 star hotel. More like 3 star. But, did the job. Good stay for visiting Luxor.

Good breakfast spread

The Nile view rooms are great. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the cruises and boats on the Nile. The location is not great. The area just outside the hotel felt unsafe to walk at night. So you pretty much need a taxi to step out. The hotel knows this so all the restaurants within the hotel are overpriced. They also only provide 2 bottles of drinking water a day which isn't sufficient at all.
