Clean hotel, needs a bit of a face lift in certain areas. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good value, with an adequate selection. I paid for an early check in (10.00 to 12.00), but on arrival none of the 3 rooms booked were available, 1st room became available within 15/20 minutes, then shortly afterwards the 2nd room became available. I also enquired about my upgrade bid on 1 of the rooms, that I was told I would hear about most likely before my arrival, which I did not, I was advised by a very polite front of desk lady member of staff that there were no family suites available, so my bid was unsuccessful. The kind lady did say that they would waiver to charge for early check in, as the hotel had failed to accommodate that request. I left front of desk with 2 of my 3 rooms and was told the 3rd room would be full cleaned within 15/20 minutes. I had to leave the hotel to get ready at home for a function, leaving my family who had travelled some distance in the 2 available rooms to also get ready for the function. On my return to the hotel I was told by my family that the hotel staff had come back to them and said an upgrade to a family suite was now available and did we want it, but we declined, as we were already settled in all our individual rooms and it would have been hassle to move as we were on a tight schedule to reach the destination of our function. On the whole the overall stay was good, but the early check in and upgrade were very disappointing.

I purposely booked the room with air conditioning as travelling on a hot day 26/27 May. On the hottest day in the UK, the air con at the hotel was faulty. I heard the staff say there was a maintenance happening on site. Well, stuck in a room, where the entire floor has no cool air conditioning, you guess how unpleasant that was. Room 264, the air-con control unit was faulty. It turned itself off every 20 minutes after manually restarting. Got changed to room 261, where the control unit worked but there were no cool air, just air circulation. Sleep was not happening…

Great hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff, and an excellent location. Comfortable stay and good service. My second visit - would definitely visit again!

The staff are very welcoming and friendly especially Claire on reception, who explained everything to us in great detail. We stayed for one night this visit and had our children come to the hotel to have dinner with us in the restaurant, the food was very enjoyable. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was excellent a great choice of both continental and cooked breakfast. Manisha went out of her way to get me a decade latte from the bar even though the restaurant was very busy. We would recommend the Delta by Marriott Waltham abbey to family & friends and will be staying there again in the future.

Never ate the breakfast. Room was clean. Staff was fine. Nothing extra great or extra bad.

My wife could not connect to the Wifi on the firestick that we brought from home. She tried the front desk, but there was nothing they could do. So they then resorted to buying the movie on the "Internet TV" Youtube, but that also just showed the loading screen and never ended up working. It was dissapointing as I booked it for my wife and her friend to have a nice relaxing time away from the kids.

From the moment we walked through the door the staff were nothing but friendly and helpful, especially Claire on reception. The room was clean and fresh towels each day. The food especially breakfast was amazing and Emily in the restaurant especially was very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
