Super clean room. I cannot ask for more :-) The rest did not matter to me much - it was worth the money. But the building is old and the maintenance not on par.

The property and room were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bed was great and the shower was lovely. However, the receptionist could have been more helpful on both the first and second night of my stay. The first night it might have been useful if she’d been able to tell me where/how to catch the night bus after my delayed journey meant I arrived Chamonix after 10pm - she obviously knew I was a female travelling alone. The second night she was most upset that I might actually want to buy a drink from the bar. After I waited 15 minutes, I asked for a second time, at which point she rolled her eyes and only when I persevered did she begrudgingly rise to her feet to ask someone else if I could buy a drink. Aside from that - as the hotel reception and bar close early, and there is nowhere else locally to purchase drinks or snacks, it might be wise to have a vending machine in the foyer for soft drinks and nibbles.

Great location and super convenient to the TMB start if you’re looking for a more chill vibe than Chamonix. Definitely recommend splurging on the delicious breakfast.

Very comfortable and pleasant As a chalet type hotel it was especially friendly and almost like visiting good friends or relatives you can tolerate. Helpful and very courteous staff. All good.

I used this place for the night before our start of the TMB. The place was very nice and clean. They also allowed us to store our luggage while we did our hike.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was nice with a view on the mountains.

Really friendly staff, makes such a difference to your stay when you feel genuinely welcomed. Great room, with bath, and fridge. Quiet and I slept really well. Tasty breakfast, with fresh orange juice, great coffee, boil your own egg, and freshly baked croissants and fresh baguettes. It is located in somewhat quiet area, but you can still walk to a couple of restaurants nearby. Ski rental right across the hotel, which was really convenient. And hotel offers free shuttle to ski lift, which you need to arrange a day in advance. Spa area somewhat basic, ok for a short visit, but I wouldn’t chose to stay there long. Hotel also has a bar and restaurant.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast. Shuttle bus to lifts. Bar & restaurant on site (need to book). Bathroom was modern lots of fresh towels. Rooms a little rustic, storage space, but no drawers.

Rooms where spotless the red carpet is very contrasting and possibly old looking compared to rest of room but staff where fantastic and very helpful spoke good English which was a blessing spa facilities all clean and quite to use too

Very impressed with my stay at Chalet Du Bois, the rooms were spotless and the cleaners were on point each day. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the location is perfect 4 minute walk from bus stop. Would 100% stay again !!!!

Enjoyed a lovely stay at Chalet Hotel du Bois. The rooms were warm, cosy and clean, and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was exceptionally good, we ate there twice and both times enjoyed a lovely meal. The bar was also a great place to enjoy a drink and play cards. Only used the pool/ sauna once but was very nice after a day of skiing.

Room was lovely with spacious bed and modern, clean bathroom. However, the staff and service was disappointing for a hotel of this price. Staff were rude and seemed like they were trying to avoid our concerns or get rid of us. Especially bad in the restaurant where staff were very rude and service was bad. Food was sub par for the price. Sauna is nice however pool is uncomfortably cold. Very disappointed as we were really looking forward to our stay following walking and camping the TMB.

Beautiful view

Quite simple room, could add 1 or 2 chairs and lights in the room, no tissue/napkin in the room. Even the swimming pool feels dark. The cuisine of the restaurant was great, very delicious. Good location.
