I liked: rooms were refurbished , overall service was excelent. I did not like: air conditined not functioning.

The hotel could use some renovation. Our room was at the end of the hallway and for some reason it was very hot even though the outside temperatures were cool. The front desk service was super good and friendly and it was good value for money. We had our little dog with us and they were very welcoming.

The rooms are out dated. Some renovations are strongly suggested.

Great value for what we paid, 2 female senior citizens. Affordable hotel in a nice and convenient spot next to shopping center and major bus hub and in the middle of city center. Train station about 6 minutes away by local bus right by the hotel entrance . Very clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We’ll return and we’ll recommend to our family and friends!

We visited Guimaraes during the off-season and enjoyed our stay at the Ibis in city center. It was conveniently located near the Shopping Center, Mercado, and historic old town with easy walking areas nearby. They accommodated our dog for $15/night, though we couldn't leave her unattended and she was not allowed in most of the lobby area. There were five hotel parking spots in front of the building, one for handicap parking and one for electric charging. Paid street parking was also nearby, you just had to be careful with timing. The hotel was convenient for people traveling by bus but a little difficult to find street parking and I can imagine that in the summer it would be even more of a challenge.

I mean it's a 2 Star hotel. The location is convenient.

Great location if you are traveling by car as it is not far from the main attractions and you can avoid the traffic and find a parking space easily. The hotel is basic but comfortable. Great if you are planing just to sleep there while exploring Guimarães.

Good location for the stadium, 10 min walk to the old town but bars and restaurants very close, bus direct to the airport ggood place to stay, friendly staff

Ibis Guimeras is so well located you can reach to and from airport by bus as bus station is just 100 mts away.Also location is so convenient for restaurants, to walk around etc.

In terms of location,staff and comfort this hotel is brilliant.The walls need a coat of painting as they look tired and not fresh with dirty spots especially above lighting ,air conditioner exhaust.

Great little hotel. Very simple, and small, but really clean and friendly! it is a budget hotel, after all, but the location is great to walk to most places in the center. (Just skip the breakfast; it is overpriced).

Check in was great, told me about a nearby shopping centre and the walk to the old town and castle complex (about 20-25 mins and quite steep at points) lots of little tourist shops and cafes to stop at along the way.

The only thing that for me let's the hotel down is breakfast.,,To expensive for what we get.In a country we're there's so much and good oranges,how can they serve juice from a carton and almost impossible to drink???

For a budget vacation this hotel is perfect. It is centrally located to the historic center ( easy walk for most folks in most weather), perfect price and all the basic amenities that could be asked for (clean room, quiet and good water pressure).
