Myself and my husband stayed for one night earlier this month. We had booked a lake view balcony room hoping the weather would be kind to us to sit and look at the wonderful views. We were lucky it was. The room itself is a bit dated . The furniture although beautiful old wood could do with a light sand down and re oil to make it look good again. The bathroom was like any bathroom you would get in a Travelodge or similar. What did surprise me was the rusty radiator/towel rail on the wall and the rusty toilet holder and old toilet brush.....very disappointing.....The bed was comfortable. The glass on the balcony was great to sit and look over the lake, but the wooden chairs so low and uncomfortable to sit on. The glass could have done with a good clean. Lots of dirt and green mold especially around the bottom of the glass. I would say for the price we paid approx £274 b&b it was very over priced. The hotel itself has some lovely modern areas, but the wing with the lake view balcony rooms definitely need an upgrade.
Location great for the views but it's a busy road so lots of noise when your sat out and not much to do in the area unless you like water sports. Bus service right outside to take you into the lakes is good if you don't want to drive.
