The property is really old. The AC didn’t work in one of the rooms. Staff is so friendly and nice rooms are very rundown old hotel.

It used to be a wonderful place, but it is old and worn out. I was put in a room where the stove did not work, had no water pressure and the staff had no answer answers.

Great accommodations. Nicely furnished. Very cool spot.

This property is truly unique in the area in that it remains one of the only hotels in the area that has a distinctly Mexican decor and flavor. The units are spacious. The accouterments for cooking or cleaning are not so great. The staff in the restaurant and bar are very helpful and pleasnt. Access to the gorgeous beach in front of the property needs to be replaced. Access is not possible at high tide. We did enjoy our stay very much.

The stay was overall ok. Not going to say perfect but rather good. The check in could of been better. One of the receptionist was very rude and could definitely used a lot more customer service help. The rooms were clean. The pool was not h qted and a little cold for my taste. The view to the beach/ocean was gorgeous. That was my favorite part of my stay!

GOOD LOCATION

Beautiful lil villa in between hectic resorts. right on beach, a lil pool, the villas were beautiful, spacious, clean, and enjoyed them.

Property was very poorly cleaned, no hot water in one of the bathrooms, food was served to us cold and server had a bad attitude when we addresses that the food was cold.

Internet AND TV didn't work trought all of our stay. Pool was filled with a garden hose AND was very cold AND has a lot of mold. Room was lovely AND the beds where excellent. Will stay again if everything they offer is working as it should

I would recommend this resort only thing i’d have to say don’t forget your blow dryer & iron. I didn’t like the fact that reception desk closes at night. Other than that staff is great & the place is very relaxing

It has a lot of character! If you want cookie cutter this is not for you . I would definitely come back

Just very tired place. Power out for an hour or so, furniture dirty, blinds did not work well. Right on beach which was nice. Crashing waves hypnotic. Sunsets beautiful. Lush gardens and, nice swimming pool but, hot tub closed down at 9 so no night time leisure soaks.

We enjoyed the small size of the resort. The villas were probably beautiful when they were new. This resort needs some money put into it, but has the potential to be wonderful. The mattresses were quite hard. The pool was constantly being filled with a hose. Service was pretty good and staff were agreeable. there was a limited variety of menu items, but we enjoyed what meals we had there. We chose Villas El Rancho in order to be close to family who were staying in their more upscale private condo. We spent a lot of time visiting over there as it was more comfortable. With money put into upkeep and a bit nicer amenities, this place would be great because it’s not like all the other places to stay on Cerritos.

The property is outdated. I like the pool and the ocean right in front of the property.The restaurant has good food and the staff is really nice.

Nice stay very friendly staff but was expecting more availability on the restaurant and bar.

The staff was friendly and spoke enough English to work with our bits of Spanish. The hot tub wasn't hot, but it was a fun clean, hidden side pool. The beach was immediately outside the back of the hotel, which was fun and offered a stunning view. The restaurant was so-so, except the tortillas which were awesome, the ambiance which was fun, and the waiter who was fantastic. The bedrooms all have doors with open slats, so there is no sound privacy in any of the rooms. What was set up to be the master was actually a loft situation, completely open to the living room. We'd go again!

It was okay. Ants were present in kitchen. There has not been any unkeep, like rusty shower pipes, old couch that dips deep when you sit on it. THe cleaniing lady was great everyday with new towels and sweeping. THe beach was not good this year.
