I had a lovely stay at the Arklow Bay Hotel. The hotel is in a great location, close to the town and with beautiful views of the surrounding area. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional, making me feel at home straight away. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The facilities were excellent, especially the leisure centre and swimming pool, which were well maintained and enjoyable to use. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and the food quality throughout my stay was excellent. What stood out most was the outstanding customer service. Every staff member I met was helpful, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests had a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend Arklow Bay Hotel to anyone visiting Wicklow, whether for business, a family break, or a relaxing weekend away. I will definitely return in the future. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable! 🌟🏨😊

I went for a two night break with my son, we loved the hotel, I first booked as my mother had brought me as a child and I had so many fond memories. I only back 6 days and I have booked again for January. I stayed in the balcony room which was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was lovely with a bath/shower, i love a bath when away so this was great, coffee machine is a great to have, the pool is lovely, I loved the food, the thing that surprised was the staff, I have never stayed someone where the staff were so professional, so kind, helpful. The staff make the hotel, they were all amazing with my son and I, special shout out to the lady that works breakfast in The Pottery, I cant remember her name but she was absolutely amazing, my son loved her. I am really looking forward to staying again. The location is great, a short walk to the centre and the beach.

I recently stayed at the Arklow Bay Hotel and found it to be a pleasant and comfortable experience overall. The location is excellent, with beautiful coastal views and easy access to nearby walking paths and the town centre. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any questions. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. While the décor felt slightly dated, everything was in good working order and perfectly adequate for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was spotless, and the housekeeping service was consistent throughout my visit. I also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, where the food was fresh and well prepared, though the menu could benefit from a bit more variety. Breakfast the next morning was satisfying, with a decent selection of hot and cold options. Overall, I would recommend the Arklow Bay Hotel for a short getaway or weekend break, particularly for those looking to enjoy a peaceful seaside setting without straying too far from Dublin. The leisure facilities, including the pool and gym, were an added bonus and contributed positively to the overall experience. I would stay here again in future.

Rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable. Leisure centre feels quite dated, but we still enjoyed it and felt very relaxed after. We booked a dinner package but didn’t realise it was for the Pottery restaurant and not the lounge, and it isn’t actually clear on the booking page if you can pick the restaurant or not. When booking we had actually assumed it was for the lounge since the package was such good value and the pottery seemed too fancy for it to be included in the price! The dinner was okay for me as I found the vegetarian options disappointing, i had soup for starter and for main the only option was a ricotta mushroom pasta which was quite plain. there was a vegetarian cheese souffle for starter too, but I wasn’t personally interested in that considering the cheese in the main. My partner said his food, the black pudding starter and beef main, were fantastic, and both of our desserts were delicious. The dinner and breakfast package is great value, I just found the menu in the pottery was limited for non meat eaters, and definitely for vegans. The wait staff in the Pottery were fantastic and very attentive - Mya, Laura, and a young man with glasses (apologies I dont remember your name!) served us on Sunday and they were great. We had a lovely relaxing stay.

We stayed a sunday night in march (2adults, 1 child). We were assigned a room initially but upon check in there was a black hair in the double bed and a stain on the net curtain in the window. I informed reception staff of this and was moved to a different room. Although i did check the double bed in this room which was fine and a lady from reception checked the single bed this room was far from clean. There was in fact anonther hair in the single bed which my 8 year old found. There were fingerprints in tan on the inside door frame of the bathroom and the soap dispenser dripped continuously throughout our stay. House keeping did leave a card, chocolates and drinks vouchers, and a cookie and strawberry milk for my daughter however there was a fly on the cookie when we came back. From where we were seated for dinner in the bar, the floor behind the bar looked filthy. My husband ordered truffle fries with his meal which never arrived and although there were a lot of bar/ serving staff on duty, no staff came to see how our meal was or to check if we needed anything else. We went for breakfast monday morning and the carpet on the stairs and hallway into the pottery room was disgustingly dirty. I had to ask for a clean cup and saucer as the one placed at my table was dirty also. I choose not to eat as i felt the dirt i had witnessed in other areas of the hotel was sure to be found in the kitchen also. I do not like to complain, however we were disgusted with the lack of cleanliness throughout the hotel. I did say all of this to the receptionist upon check out to which she assured me she would be in contact with us. I have had limited contact from a manager via email and still no phone call. For a 4star hotel we were very disapointed and we will not be returning.
