Customer service is terrible. Paid for dinner at the hotel and could not get service. 5 tables in the entire restaurant, 3-4 servers working , a bus boy and a bartender. Had to walk around and find a server to get drinks. This is a really low end buffet and even with it being a buffet the people were more worried about being on their phones and talking among themselves. Tried to change currency at the dsk and they charged a really high fee. It was about 12%. Room was clean but not very nice. We stayed at 3 Vila Gale hotels on this trip and they all charged differently, one added a 10% addition “service fee” at checkout. They said it was to recoup the 10% Expedia charged them for making the booking. Avoid Vile Gale properties!

Place is old and sorely in the need of renovation! The toilet back up and was full of fecal matter and we had to move to another room. The other room looks like it had not been renovated for 40 years. They had rugs on the floor that were dirty and smelled like feet. Nobody! Not a single staff member could speak anything other than Portuguese! The only good thing was the breakfast, but it was overcrowded!

The hotel is great the staff is friendly and very polite, The rooms are great and spacious. I had a wonderful time at this hotel I would recommend to anybody to stay at this hotel

I really liked how close this was the Barra Mall and Beach. The breakfast was included which made it even better.

Excellent accommodations a short walk to all the attractions

The staff was very respectful, helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and patient. There was a language barrier, so I could not use the phone in my room. The front desk staff used a translation service on their cell phones to assist me. They even assisted me with one issue that had nothing to do with the hotel. They were available to me every day for assistance. I felt I was calling on them too often, but they insisted on helping me. All the other staff was also excellent...room cleaners, restaurant, front door, etc.

Os funcionários são maravilhosos e prestativos, tudo que precisei resolveram na hora. Localidade excelente, tudo é perto, táxi e Uber de fácil acesso, local seguro, portaria e segurança 24h. Café da manhã ótimo, com variedade. A vista para o mar é fantástica do quarto e da piscina. Melhorias: os quartos com varanda deveriam ter mobília para que o hóspede pudesse sentar do lado de fora e aproveitar a área. Não encontrei nenhum lugar que tivesse água no lobby ou em outra área para os hóspedes. Água apenas comprada e de lata. Bar da piscina oferece uma variedade de drinks porém faltavam várias frutas qdo escolhíamos a bebida o que nos impediu de consumir mais, um dia pedimos água de coco e não tinha coco num hotel na BAHIA, outro dia não tinha manga para a caipirinha… A descarga do banheiro do quarto e de áreas comuns do hotel são péssimas, vc tem que ficar apertando um tempão para conseguir eliminar um xixi.

This hotel is old. The staff did not speak any english so we had to translate everything. The room had no view and that was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. The food was not great. They did not accommodate a request to change rooms. The room had a smell to it that we had to endure during the stay. I do not recommend this hotel if you want to have a great experience in Salvador.
