Hotel was very central to all shopping, and very accessible to all amenities. Regarding the parking was fine , with the exception of the electric car charging on site, the low charging station could take 2 cars but was continually occupied by one car for 3 days without moving from the station. No consideration for other electric vehicles trying to charge . To make matters worse the car was not fully electric but a Hybrid !!!! The only reason I could see for this ,the ev station is beside the Hotel entrance .When ones car is charged it should be moved to the hotel car park

Lovely hotel. The staff in the marine club were very friendly and accommodating. Room very nice. Very big bed. The only thing was we were beside the service closet so there was a lot of banging going on

Not much more to add, the location was very central to everything, however we did have difficulty finding the place based on the information provided by Google maps

Sadly this Radisson didn’t meet the standards we have come to expect from the chain. Food was not to standard and service much the same.

A huge facility in the small town. The room was spacious and the breakfast was ok and well managed, but we do not recommend this hotel because: 1. we were provided a wrong room type, 2. the hotel staff were not friendly and professional, 3. one of the two elevators/toilets/coffee machines at breakfast were out-of-order - not well maintained.

Overall great stay. Bed was a bit too hard

Although we booked and paid for two rooms several months ago (in March), the hotel sold our room (reserved in September). They called us in the evening while we were driving there to let us know they sold the room and wanted to send two of the four in our group to a different hotel that was not in close proximity to the Radisson Blue Athlone. All other hotels in the area were booked. We were sharing a vehicle and it wasn't possible. They apologized but it ruined our evening. Four adults were crammed into a "family" room. Two adults slept on children sized beds. We were so very disappointed. They gave a fruit basket but the damaged was done and it didn't nearly make up for it. It was simply greed on their part.

Our stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone was top-notch! Extremely clean, friendly, and convenient to sightseeing.

Had a great experience until 11.55 when there was people out the front of the hotel until 1.45 roaring and shouting

Room was beautiful- great view and very clean! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 7 nights the first night there was what I found out to be a “traveler” wedding which was extremely loud until nearly 6 am. Didn’t complain cause those people are dangerous. The lack of AC in the rooms and there being like 7 channels on the TV was annoying. Oh and if you want room service past like 9:00pm was given the option of a ham sandwich or a pizza the staff literally yold me I’d be better off ordering take out so I did.The stay was fine but I was disappointed seeing as I’ll be back in Athlone regularly was hoping this would have been the place to stay but I think I’ll be checking out the Sheraton next time.

Parking availability was inadequate. Porter service was excellent.

Hotel was great. The only issue we had was that we booked a river view room and we were given a suite overlooking a parking lot (king bed with 2 bunk beds and we are a couple with no kids). When we went to the front desk, they said the river views were fully booked and initially refused to give us the room we had booked. A manager was called and promptly corrected the reservation. Everything else was wonderful.

Extremely poor ventilation as the windows open only an inch, a tabletop fan was provided at my request but it did nothing to help the heat and stuffiness in the room. It was 24° outside but the room was much hotter, it felt like being in a hot car. The water from the shower and tap smelled strongly of fish, I could smell it on my skin after showering. Staff were notified but they told me they could do nothing about it. I regret wasting my money here.
