Amazing

very nice staff, decent location

Always a solid stay in Carrasco. Confortable rooms, good breakfast, efficient personnel. Very consistent.

The hotel is a great fit for business travelers and the cruise ship crowd. Very clean (attention to detail was big). Very good breakfast. It might be a bit fancy for leisure travelers. The gym is small and it is hard to lift weights because of lack of space. The big downside was the cost of laundry. We thought the price was in local currency and not USD. Paying $253 for what was 2 loads of laundry was the absolute most we've ever paid. (I've paid about $50 in the US for the same size and less in a lot of other countries).

I was expecting something a little bit more modern and updated and so my review is impacted by my impression that the hotel is due for a makeover. The electrical sockets were awkward and too few (so we needed to boil our water in the bathroom with the cord stretched over the sink) and the couch in our suite was old and a bit lumpy. We were asked to pay for our two pods of coffee each day which seemed odd to me, and a staff member eventually refunded the charges which I appreciate. We were given a 25% discount coupon to use in the hotel restaurant but it couldn't be used for our breakfast, which is the one meal we would have been able to eat at the hotel given our day trips. The hotel is in a lovely location, lots of nice restaurants close by, and back in the day I am certain it was a lovely and luxurious place to stay. It needs a nice update - and we felt safe and secure and overall it was a nice stay.

Helpful staff, great breakfast.

The hotel is located in an excellent area of Montevideo, Punta Carretas. Our room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast had a variety of excellent breads, fruit, and made to order eggs. There were two things we really loved: their ebikes and the rooftop plunge pool. We rented the brand new bikes for 10USD for a full day. The hotel is right across from the rambla, which is a 20 km. cycling/walking path. The pool is small--more of a large hot tub--but is available to reserve privately each day for an hour at no extra charge.

A very nice hotel located on the rambla overlooking the ocean within short walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The staff is very professional and attentive! The breakfast is very nicely done with good variety-breads, cheese/meat; fresh fruits; juices; eggs to order; specialty coffees. Their afternoon tea is very good too although a bit pricey but worth it. Rooms are clean with adequate amenities and attentive cleaning staff. The only disappointment we had was no sun deck on the top floor. But there’s beach front and park across the street! Definitely will stay again!!!!

Room with a spectacular view. Staff was extremely nice. Very good breakfast. Only problem was the AC not cooling enough. Room was in the warm side.

Staff, location, great views, great breakfast

It was an amazing place with amazing staff and amazing location. The breakfast was also amazing. The corner suite was totally worth it. We borrowed the electric bikes and had a great time on the Rambla. We loved the citrus water in the lobby and the hot tub was very nice when we got a reservation. Two things to know though, our bed was pretty firm. We ended up putting our comforter under us while we slept and that was ok. The swim pro hot tub didn’t quite work all the way either, but those were very minor complaints for a stay well worth the slight up charge.

Clean room, staff always polite and helpful, close to all we needed. Very cheerful environment with a view on the ocean. It was excellent.

Cala Di Volpe Hotel has clean, bright rooms with ocean views and a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff.

A great place with super kind staff.

The area around the hotel, with the ocean and the walking/biking path, is breathtaking. Front desk staff speaks good English, very helpful and accommodating as I changed rooms to get a love seat. Restaurant is excellent, 25 percent off for guests, waiter we kept getting was so pleasant (wish I got a name). Room was good, great view, Climate control a little strange, set the same across the hotel. Bring your own tissues. Good shower, comfortable bed. Lots of things available in the room to be charged for but not overly pricey. Enjoyed breakfast, different breads, eggs cooked to request. Didn't have a car, took Uber everywhere. Hotel is definitely recommended.
