Rooms were clean, the air conditioner was not "effective", in English, didn't work well. Beautiful location.

Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain!

Comfortable room. Breakfast selection was great. Liked the concept of a hotel in an old building. It is near a small town but dining options outside were quite limited. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. Food and service was great

This was our first time to stay in a pousada. The room was small but it was not an issue for an overnight stay.

The property was quiet and in a walkable area. The dining room staff was excellent -- as was the food. Rooms were nice and the view was even nicer! Thank you!

The building is remarkable and the staff are excellent. It's a very laid back quite feel. Not much to do around the Pousada, but an excellent place to get a bit of rest, recharge and enjoy the local wine. the building is really special.

Amazing property. Front desk staff was underwhelming; felt like we were imposing on them. The staff in the hotel was just the opposite, though, and very welcoming. We came for the uniqueness of the property and that fully met our expectations. Not much to do in the immediate local area, but good hiking nearby.

The experience should be defined has monastery quietness. This is the place to recharge batteries.

Lovely quiet stay, despite the cold weather. I would have liked to stay longer than 1 night.

Hotel is a bit isolated/difficult to get to but worth the effort. Located in a very small village. Not too far from Braga which is worth visiting. Also not very far from Porto airport.
