Although the hotel was satisfactory, I was somewhat disappointed with the £100 deposit. While I understand that such deposits are customary, it would have been beneficial if the hotel had explicitly indicated that contactless payment was not an option. The only payment methods available were chip and pin or card number. Fortunately, I had my card number readily available, as I would have been unable to check in without it. In 2024, it is perplexing that contactless payment is not a standard feature.
