The staff was super accommodating for our family, and the Ritz Kids options made sure the adults still had their own time to do things. Beach access was great as well and the family pool area made sure there was plenty of swim time for the kids.

Massive and very clean room, great balcony with enough shade to still enjoy when it got very hot. Staff were very professional and friendly. Our only issue was that all the restaurants opened/closed at set times and there weren’t enough ‘out of hours’ options to eat if you missed the lunch or dinner hours. With a 1 year old that made things a little tricky but we managed. Overall its a beautiful hotel and our boy loved feeding the carp in the lake!

Wonderful staff, great food and beautiful setting. However the main pool was far too cold and spoiled things for the children. This was our fourth visit and the pool has previously been significantly warmer.

This is a luxurious resort hotel with numerous restaurants, swimming pools etc. The amenities are excellent - particularly the restaurant, and the staff are friendly and professional.

We booked a deluxe room (resort view) which had views over a pool and the Atlantic sea. The room was cold. It faced NW and never actually saw the sun so I attempted to put on the AC heat mode but, unfortunately, no heat. There were no extra blankets in the room so it was a cold first night and we didn’t sleep well. Next day, I went to reception. The all knowing receptionist lady confidently told me that the problem was due to the room I had booked. She explained that the AC warm mode was obviously not going to work, as the heat mode was not activated as hotel policy. She continued that all deluxe rooms were unable to receive direct sunlight and therefore would obviously be cold at this time of year. However, if I wanted to rectify my mistake - I could pay extra for an upgrade and have a warmer sun lit room. I then realised that it was indeed my fault. It was my fault that my deluxe room in the 5* Ritz Carlton was unable to welcome sun light or heat and, of course, was also unable to be heated by AC heat mode. After apologising for my obvious error I asked if there were any heaters available. Luckily there were. Breakfast buffet was a bun fight. Chaos queues and confusion but very nice food. On a positive note the pool guy called Jorge was excellent. I think he was a supervisor. My wife had a back pain problem and Jorge couldn’t do enough for her. He is definitely our nomination for the best staff member. Overall a pleasant enough stay but will we return? Probably not.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming a credit to the hotel. The emphasis seems to be on family holiday which means lots of kids. There should be more adult only areas. In winter months there is insufficient attention to how cold it is inthe evening the restaraunts are cold.

1 They say book restaurants in advance. There are many (excellent) specialist restaurants. So we did, for my wife and I, for 2 nights of the 5, planning to eat with the children the other 3 nights. 2 THERE IS NO FOOD except in the specialist restaurants. So we arrived to be told that our children could not eat, and the specialist restaurants were fully booked, so we could only eat for 2 of the 5 days. This is a 5* hotel, and they cannot feed us except on room service. This is insane. 3 The Kids Club is excellent. It is serviced by an elevator, in which my wife got stuck as the doors opened a little at every floor but not enough to get out. Nobody came when she used the alarm phone. Eventually she got out to be told at reception that THIS HAPPENS MOST DAYS. It's a lift used by all the Kids Club and they don't fix it. Insane. 3 The swimming pools. They state heated to 25C. Lies. Neither my wife or I or the people we were travelling with could set foot in it. 18C AT BEST. Unusable for great majority of guests. 4 The taxi and transfer desk outside. Mayhem. Guests constantly complaining. You do NOT expect any of this from a 5* Ritz-Carlton costing $1,700 all-in per night. Good things - Kid's Club, food (if you can get any), rooms.

Not enough superlatives exist to describe this resort. Elevated experience that comes with magnificent views , top class campus with amenities to make your stay extraordinary. The staffers enhanced the already extra ordinary experience.

This resort was excellent for a relaxing stay. The area is a bit of ways from the main touristy areas of the island so a rental car is needed to go to neighboring towns or anywhere off resort property. Staying in a resort view room, we felt like we were closer to anything happening on the resort, such as live music which we could enjoy from the comfort of our private balcony. The pools and beach were very nice with restaurants catering to them so you can enjoy lunch without leaving your spot by the pool or on the beach. The gym was undersold to us from the pictures, but it was really cool and well equipped with free weights, and cable machines. The gym even has an outdoor deck you can workout on and has a squat rack outside that overlooks the golf course and ocean, so a beautiful view while you workout. The spa services were also great and relaxing, we did the spa circuit in the morning as we heard it gets busy in the afternoon and we found that we could enjoy all the amenities in a seemingly private setting as no one else was using while we were there. The food was great, never skip a breakfast here, and the restaurants had great food/service. Only Cons I have would be with the room, The pillows were too soft, I would recommend requesting extra pillows if you like a more firm pillow; the bed had 2 twin size mattress pads which would separate in the middle of the night; and one of the shower heads was not working during our stay. We look forward to returning to this resort!
