Friendly, efficient staff. Large room and large bath. Breakfast was really good. Great location for travelling round West Yorkshire. Ample free parking. Quiet location away from busy road.

The property was beautiful, the lobby was stunning, but the rooms were just ok. I thought I'd have a fridge, but there was none, which was fine. The only complaint I have is that the tub was dirty. I went to take a bath and my fiance stopped me and cleaned the tub and pulled hair out of the drain. gross. The wipes we used were clearly dirty after cleaning the tub. Otherwise staff was great, they just need a better cleaning crew.

Tried to cancel and was ignored on messages and told over the phone they couldn’t help me.

My room looked like they had just changed the bedding and even that had black hairs on it (im fair haired). Hairs in the bath , toothpaste all up the bathroom mirror and on the floor like it had dripped out of someones mouth and dried. Should have read the reviews . Wont make that mistake again.

The building is tired and needs a lot of TLC but all the staff were expectional and couldn't do enough. Easy parking and good location. Room was 'dated' but functional and clean, with a bath (bonus!) and very comfy firm beds. We paid for breakfast and said it would be 10.45 before we arrived, but were there by 10.35 in the end (Breakfast is served until 11am). We had to ask for the food to be replenished and at first was told there were no more pastries (essential park of breakfast) but then chef agreed to cook us some. If breakfast is advertised as until 11am, at at cost of over £15, then i'd expect all breakfast items to be available until this time.

I have never seen a dirtier hotel. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with hair everywhere, old and mouldy interior, the toilet seat and front of the toilet were not cleaned. I had to wipe off someone else's waste in a hurry to use the toilet, luckily I always carry disinfectant wipes. The room smelled of urine, the bathroom even more. There was so much wrong with the room, we booked to stay the night as we had to attend an event at the hotel, we were unable to stay in the room and others who had booked a room as well said it was not any better in theirs. After driving 4 hours to get there, we decided to drive back immediately after the event rather than staying.

Overall good overnight stay. Clean, comfortable bed; The decor is tired, and in need of an upgrade. For the price, and one night it did the job but won’t be rushing back

Very helpful reception staff on arriving. Pleasant friendly gentleman called ? Christian My only criticism was the bar prices. £8.20p for a 150 mile basic white wine !

Friendly welcoming staff, great size room, sat in the garden with drinks in the evening. Breakfast had lots of choice and very nice. Rooms and corridors need refurbishment.

Huge parking, would be great if EV charging is provided. Very peaceful, comfy bed and mattress. I booked it 3 times in one month coming for some work, has been great.

Not bad, good parking and the cleanliness was ok. Rooms were just a bit grubby and uncomfortable.

Convenient location, plenty parking space, friendly staff

The staff here are all amazing. Hardworking, friendly and doing about 3 jobs each! Given the room price, I wasn't expecting it to be great, but the whole place needs a damned good clean and a refurbish. A disgrace to the Mercure brand, but the the staff all deserve medals

Good location, plenty of parking, nice garden out the front and the breakfast was pretty good. The staff we came across were all very helpful. However, the rooms and a lot of the common areas are in desperate need of a deep clean and renovation.

The exterior of the hotel is lovely but once inside it’s very tired. The carpets are worn and stained. No air con or phone in the room. The tea/coffee was not refilled during the service. There is no lift in the section of hotel I was staying. The windows didn’t open much and the was no fan available. It was convenient for where I wanted to be. The staff I dealt with are very pleasant and there’s a large car park.
