3 night stay at this hotel. The room was warm, clean and spacious. Bedding and towels were plentiful. The hotel itself was a bit tired and worn but that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay 🙂

Had to park in the overspill carpark was abit tight to get into, hotel bit dated and old carpets but clean, room was spacuous bed not great very hard and uneven to lay on, only 1 pillow no spares in room, the heat in the rooms especially the bathroom was too much over bearing ...nice bathroom clean and modern .. breakfast was nice plenty of choice and all food was hot ... handy for a central stay in southport plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants all around shame the weather was too windy for the entertainment to go ahead outside the town hall

Horrendous sleep. The room was like a sauna. No windows either. No help from staff when asked about it

I always book a hotel with parking so I booked the hotel.we arrived 5 hours early and was told we could use the car park.thay have 2 a carpark and an overflow one.both hold about 6cars and both were full.so paid £6 for a private parking.went for a walk and something to eat.booked into the hotel was given room 219.it was like being in a sauna far to hot and the windows only opened about an inch.after about 2 hours of listening to the banging music from the pub next door we decided we could not listen to that all day so we packed up and went home.the room was dated.and the passage way floor squeaked when you walked and the room smells of damp We were glad to get home.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.I suppose it’s ok for young people who like loud music but not recommended if you want a good sleep.

Booked this hotel not knowing it was a Britannia Hotels site and having had bad experiences in the past with them I might not have booked it had I known. BUT - Really pleasantly surprised by this experience, staff were very helpful and available even late into the night. It's a grand hotel that's seen better days as many Brittania Hotels are but this one is better kept than others I have stayed at. It also had lively bars on site, was very conveniently situated close to the station (5mins walk) and my room was definitely a good enough, probably better standard than I would expect for the *very* low rate I paid. I appreciate that Southport has probably seen a downturn in tourism over the last year or two after recent events (I was on business locally) which may have played into the low price but still, it really was a very good rate. Really generally pleased with this stay of 2 nights. The breakfast buffet is cheaper booked at reception (9.95 if booked at check-in) but I'm afraid whilst it was a reasonably wide cooked breakfast choice I attended later in the time slot and it was old and overdone from sitting out under heat lamps. Perhaps my fault on timing not theirs. Wetherspoons is less than 5 mins walk away on the same street for an alternate breakfast choice plus a number of cafes nearby

Room clean and comfortable but staff unhelpful. Breakfast food was tasteless and greasy obviously deep fried . Only 7 rooms occupied for all the hotel but was still quite a long trek to our room

Yes there are shops in the area also cafes. There is a small parking area which is free when you book in. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean and the room was clean and comfortable.
