Room was run down, banging and noisy from upstairs. “Kitchen” faucet was broken and there was absolutely no hot water. There was a loud whining noise from window area

Room was small and in terrible shape. Left the sign on the door for two days to have the room cleaned and that didn’t happen. Didn’t have the staff! Hahaha not sure how you run a hotel without cleaning staff. Even with the room being small only half of it would get cooled down, so the kids were sweating all night and we were freezing. We’ve stayed here before with no issues. Maybe it’s under new management. We definitely won’t be back

The room we stayed in was outdated( clean) but they are doing Reno’s and the new rooms are gorgeous if you go request the 4th floor !!! Gorgeous up there Staff were super nice and we did enjoy having a Denny’s and a Starbucks so close. Would stay again !

Great room. Friendly staff

We spent 5 nights at Sandman West while we were waiting to take possession of our new home. We had a suite with a kitchenette on the main floor, which was ideal as we had our dog with us. The room was large enough that we did not feel crowded, had adequate amenities that we felt at home during our stay. All the staff were great, from front desk to housekeeping to the general manager. A special shout out to Joseph and Olessia who were immensely helpful and engaging, we appreciated their support during our stay. We cannot recommend the place enough!

The property was easy to get to, near places to eat, clean comfortable lobby, lovely staff. Felt safe and festive. Room was a suite and loved the small kitchen appliances.

The room was ok. Dirty doors and walls. Felt like the building was being renovated, but no signage to say so. Patched walls. Just felt in dis-repair. No hot water for a shower. Room key was de-activated before check out time...and had to get it re-programmed. Just frustrating.

Staff was good but why couldn’t I use my debit card to pay for my room.

The rooms were beautiful, but our door to the balcony had a gap when it was closed letting the cold air in, and we didn’t have any hot water in the shower. Otherwise everything was great, just wish the cold air wasn’t coming in, and we could have a hot or warm shower.

It was clean and staff were friendly

We had a great stay. The hotel was clean, quiet, and in a perfect location for everything we needed. A special shout-out to Olesia at the front desk—she was absolutely amazing and made our stay even better. Highly recommend!

Decent stay, quick access out of city,

Room smelled very strongly of smoke. Staff sprayed air freshener and said it was good. Dan didn’t work and room was sweltering. Worst place I have ever stayed in Calgary. Everything is old, dirty and moldy.
