Everything was over and above expectation!

The castle itself was amazing, the food and service was great. The lodge was very nice but would say it doesn't measure up to staying in the hotel. I would recommend a castle room and take advantage of the beautiful dinner and amazing breakfast. Great value for a castle hotel! Would stay again.

Very comfortable stay for one night sadly. Stayed in a lodge room and it was spacious and spotlessly clean. Dinner and breakfast very good and all staff very friendly and helpful.

There are numerous important historic sites in counties Louth and Meath (e.g. Trim Castle and Monasterboice) that are well worth a visit. Nevertheless, the attraction and destination were Cabra Castle Hotel. We were not disappointed. The Castle is impressive inside and out during the day and at night, it is truly spectacular. The grounds are beautiful as well. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms which was large, comfortable, and nicely appointed. As noted in other reviews, it was necessary to open windows to cool the room to a comfortable temperature. My wife and I had dinner in the dining room, and it was a charming and delightful experience. Our entrées were good but not memorable. The hotel staff was welcoming and professional. We enjoyed our one-night stay at the Castle.

Beautiful, quaint property, friendly staff. Only thing was that you could hear everything from the rooms and it was very noisy. Every time the people in the room across the hall came in and out their room, it sounded like they were trying to unlock our door that’s how loud it was. Besides that it was a stunning place!

Beautiful estate and excellent staff! However, there was a wedding dance, which prevented us from sleeping until it was over at 2:00 am.

The website was misleading as to the type of rooms. it shows the cottages having a balcony or a patio. My room had neither. Our party had book 3 rooms. I had requested a ground floor room due to a disability.Members of our party arrived at different times. Unfortunately they gave that room to the member of the party that arrived first rather than the person who booked the room.
