We had a wonderful stay from the moment we arrived. At check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to be told we had been selected as special guests, which included a complimentary room upgrade, a delicious cake delivered to our room, and a free drink at the bar – a lovely touch that made us feel truly welcome. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet, making it easy to relax. Throughout our stay, the staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive. A special thank you to the Front of House Manager, whose warm hospitality made our experience even more memorable. The hotel has a parking place and is located a few minutes from the Beach and a 25 min walk from oldtown. The outstanding service really sets Occidental apart. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cádiz.

It was an excellent experience from the moment we arrived. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with our room ready on time and no delays. The room was well-appointed, very clean, and thoughtfully soundproofed. While not overly elaborate, it was comfortable and met all expectations with great attention to detail. The staff were consistently professional, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention goes to the Front of House Manager, whose warm hospitality and exceptional attentiveness made a lasting impression. Every team member was courteous and approachable, always greeting guests with a smile. Overall, there are many reasons to recommend the Occidental, but the outstanding team truly sets it apart. Very rude staff with unacceptable behavior. We received our room key at 15:45 instead of the promised 14:00 check-in time, and every time we tried to follow up or ask for an explanation, the staff responded aggressively instead of simply apologizing. In the end, they tried to make up for it with a bottle of water and gummy bears, which honestly did not compensate for the experience. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the whole atmosphere and mood were completely ruined. Definitely not going back to any Occidental hotel again.

There is a serious problem with maintenance in this hotel. The first room we were given was not clean, there was a loud sound coming from a speaker in the room. Also, it was a room for the disabled which we didn't book at all. After a complaint, we got a cleaner room with a crooked TV and a very uncomfortable bed (the mattress was beyond used). The bathroom looked clean. The breakfast area was unclean, plates not washed properly, pastry old and hard to bite. The staff is pleasant and the location is near the beach. The garage is tiny and scary.
