Great hotel

We stayed here for Badminton Horse trials excellent location lovely hotel

Very long distances to the rooms. All vehicle chargers broken. Overcrowded, especially at breakfast. Breakfast bacon hard and turned over on itself and cemented to itself. £35 steak tough - no information about how many days hung. Small bowls for cereal, small glasses for orange juice. Good variety of cereals at breakfast. Dining areas always very noisy - loud guffaws and very loud conversations. Guests at dinner in Bermuda shorts. Parking too far away from reception. Staff always helpful. Rooms lovely - large and well designed. Good design throughout hotel, especially pottery.

The staff were excellent, the breakfast was really good but the room was very noisy. There was a function near our room and the music and associated noise of people upstairs was not good. We had to complain at reception twice and finally could get to sleep at 11.30, which is not unacceptable but not really what you want from this class of hotel. I now regret not asking for a partial refund.

The room was lovely, really comfortable bed. We used the spa which was nice. The breakfast was delicious, lots to choose from. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We would 100% reccomend a visit to this hotel.

Great stay, lovely comfy rooms, fantastic spread for breakfast with a nice varied selection. The spa facilities were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our massage

Breakfast was average,

The breakfast was the best part of the stay. The room was clean but very tired, the bathroom needs refitting. The hotel is very busy, lots of coach tours and large group bookings. Very noisy. The setting around the lake is pretty. I think it is a little overpriced.

Not a 4 star hotel at all. I’ve stayed in 3-star hotels that were much better than this. The hotel looks nothing like the photos online. it’s very run down and poorly maintained. The bath water drains extremely slowly, the taps are rusty, and there was mould in the bathroom, which is unacceptable. You can also hear people from above and next door. Another disappointing issue was the pool access. On Hotels.com it gives the impression that the pool is included, but nowhere during booking does it clearly mention there’s an extra charge to use it. Only after booking do they send an email informing you about the additional fee, which feels very misleading. Overall, definitely not worth the price or the 4-star rating.

Good but not amazing.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was excellent with plenty to see and do nearby. We would happily stay here again.

Really nice hotel in the country. It is situated right next to a lake which is beautiful. We had a lake view room which was amazing. The bathroom shower head and tap were not that good and they splashed water everywhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location too. Breakfast was very good.

Lovely surroundings but a bit of a walk everywhere as it’s so spread out. Good breakfast very helpful staff. Lunch at the boathouse was disappointing, much of our pre booked meal was no longer available, the vegan dessert wasn’t vegan and the children were served after the adults so were left waiting. The toad in the hole was actually a standard Yorkshire as served with the roast meals with two sausages plonked on top.

First time in the De Vere, will be back

Hotel is in a great location, lakes are beautiful but the rooms could do with an upgrade and I would’ve expected some nice touches like moisturiser etc like most hotels do.

Olivia on reception was amazing,She fixed me with a de luxe lakeside room at 12 pm ,so I didn’t have to wait until 3pm checking.The Hotel staff are helpful and kind,The location is superb,breakfast was delicious.I slept like a baby.

Overall super clean and friendly. Surprise no air con for such a modern property. Couldn’t amend room temperature other than opening the window whilst radiator on, seems a bit of a waste. Breakfast superb! So much choice and top quality. Brasserie closed Sunday nights so had to eat at The Old Boathouse. Not the best - staff amazing, food average at best. Understaffed in kitchen and out front. Our meals were ok, delayed but not too bad but saw two tables send theirs back as they were cold. Given it’s a fair drive or walk to go elsewhere it’s not the best hotel for food after breakfast. Gym OK, have to book and pay for pool so we swerved that. Room large and bed large. Not as the pictures for the bathroom which could have done with a refurb but all clean and serviceable. Would stay again though.
