Wonderful location, a lovely view and a warm welcome. But! Let's be honest! The rooms are small, poor sound proofing and any hotel charging €100+ per night should provide a proper bed! Not a metal bed frame (almost a camp bed) with a thin low quality mattress! After the first night of an uncomfortable sleep Reception said they would put 'another mattress topper' on the bed. They use a duvet, which is not a 'mattress topper'. On top of this there are 2 paper cups as the only drinking vessels provided and the plug sockets are 3 pins, first time I have seen that in Italy. So plugging things in is challenging. Breakfast is nice enough, lovely view. They obviously want you to eat and drink in the restaurant, which is fine but occasionally a drink on the balcony would be nice and they don't even give you more flimsy paper cups each day! They disintegrated within a day from a couple of uses, cleaning teeth etc!! It's a nice location, I think some odd cost cutting decisions have been made which give it a 'Budget Ibis' feel in my opinion more than comfortable hotel. I imagine Ibis have better beds!

Excellent stay! The staff here are top-tier - professional, multilingual, and very proactive with communication. Our comfort room was modern, but we spent most of our time on the balcony; that view is world-class! Good breakfast and a perfect location for day trips to Portofino and Santa Margherita. Highly recommend this hotel as a clean and comfortable base for exploring the coast.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was close to everything (public beaches, supermarkets, etc.) The staff were super nice and welcoming. I would definitely come back again.

Breakfast was great, staff were good and very helpful. It was self serve style, the breakfast room view was beautiful. We only had two days booked, but wished we had more time to spend at this hotel and Rapallo. It was a quick walk to get to the boats to Portofino and we had a gorgeous view with a castle from our room. Outside the hotel is a beautiful promenade to walk to restaurants and around the marina. We hope to visit again, when we come back to Italy the next time from Canada.

Loved the location and for a three star hotel was very nice. The staff were very helpful and rooms were very clean. Just a little remodeling would be nice. Also the bathroom was small but would still go back. The ocean view and sound of the ocean was wonderful.

Well located nice hotell

Stayed for 7 nights in september. Wonderful weather and Rapallo is a nice little town, near by Portofino and Cinque Terre. Hotel Lido e Italia is located just by the sea. Very good service, clean and good breakfast

Nicely old-fashioned, nicely positioned old hotel right on the seafront, just 30 yards from the castello and small public beach. Very comfortable small double room with mini balcony looking onto the sea and promenade. Excellent helpful service.

The front desk staff was so friendly! And the hotel is prime location to ferries, train, night life, shopping, restaurants, hiking and more. Quick ferry to portofino and Santa Margherita. Rapallo is definitely the best location in the area

The hotel itself is pretty old and outdated, beds and pillows are not great- but the view!!! I had a room on the sea (highly recommend the extra $ to get that view) with a little two seat balcony set up and it was beautiful. Noisy in the mornings with people at the beach but what can you do? This was a 7 minute walk to the train station and I took my bags with me no problems. The front desk staff is so kind and helpful for everything and there’s a bunch of places to eat right outside. The ferry takes off about a 5 minute walk from The hotel and is only 20€ to go to and from Portofino. I’m glad I stayed here as it was easy to get in and out of and close to the other two cities by ferry. The view and location is 10/10 but the actual hotel itself is probably 6/10.
