​I am extremely frustrated with my recent stay at Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort. Despite paying for my entire stay in full well in advance I was still forced to provide a cash deposit upon arrival. The front desk staff explicitly assured me that this deposit would be refunded immediately during my checkout process. ​However when I went to check out the story completely changed. They failed to return my money as promised and offered nothing but excuses. It has been incredibly difficult to get a straight answer from management and I am still waiting for the funds that are rightfully mine. ​It is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber to hold onto a guests money after a verbal and written agreement to return it. This lack of integrity and poor financial transparency has completely ruined my perception of the establishment. I would strongly advise future travelers to be wary of their deposit policies and look for a hotel that actually honors its commitments to its guests.

The rooms were really clean and I really enjoyed it! Its was excellent! And the owner was awesome!

Smelly and noisy room!

Staff was extremely customer service oriented. Everyone made it easy for we mono-lingual Americans in that they all spoke good English. Close to airport. Room clean and nice fruit basket provided. We asked for an early boxed breakfast and as we had early morning flight and it was delicious. Only down side was a rip-off airport shuttle service that was 10 times what it cost on the street

Staff are lovely but first two night could sleep because of noise and poor mattress But when I give my feedback they change my room And mattress Average hotel not really great Will not recommended Disappointed with quality of condition of hotel

Had a wonderful stay. Everything was excellent, but the highlight was definitely the breakfast and dinner buffet layout with a fantastic spread. The staff were extremely professional and courteous, especially Mr. Amin and Mr. Waleed, who truly know how to treat guests. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was commendable and every staff member was always happy and eager to assist. Highly recommended!

The thing is they took 5000 taka for security purposes, nothing was damage and they didn’t say anything when I check out regarding to my security money, i just check with my bank statement shows 5000 withdrawn but hasn’t been credited back

Staff were helpful and polite. Room was clean and will highly recommend anyone coming to this area to stay here.

Great hotel in Dhaka. Staff are professional. Breakfast is excellent. Everything is within reach.

Must look at the noise coming from inside other rooms

At the checkout, the person at the desk was not pleasant - I already payed when I booked but she was telling me my payment didn’t go through, and that I had to show my credit card receipt. After that she had to call someone to return my 5k in local currency back, which they had taken as a deposit when I checked in. I will choose another hotel next time.
